I was just going through some folders in my never-ending quest for organization and came across my first, and still one of my favourite, ScrapGirls collections that I purchased over two years ago.

It is Brandy Hackman's A Little Worn Out Collection

This got me curious......so tell us.....what was your first purchase? Give us a link so we can "ooh and aaah" over your wise choice(s)!

Can't remember what it was? Go to your account, click on Purchase History and scroll down.........waaaaaaaaaaaaay down to the first thing on the list. LOL I did that and discovered that I also purchased the 2007 Grab Bag (all the freebies from 2007 - no longer available) and the Blessed Mega Collection

Who's next?

My first purchase was Alluring Autumn Super Pack and it is still one of my go to collections. This was just over a year ago. I am even considering using for Anna's class as one of my collections. I just never get tired of the colors or embellishments. I also purchased a 4x4 Glitzy Christmas at that time too.

My first purchase was Thao's Doggy Tales collection. Doesn't surprise me one bit since my two pups are the subject of many of my pages.

Not at all surprised to find that my first collection purchase came from Amanda McGee :) It was the Doodle Dandy Collection Biggie which is featured prominently and repeatedly in my boys' scrapbooks over the last few years!

That wasn't my first purchase though. I had bought a few paper templates and brushes prior to that first collection purchase and I still rely on those SS tools frequently as well :)

My first collection was Valerie's Graduation Collection Mini back in 2006. I had no real idea what digital scrapbooking was all about, but had committed myself to making a scrapbook for my grandson's graduation from college! It was a lifesaver!

What a great question! The first collection I bought (I bought some stitches and a few things before I bought a collection) was Angie's Day to Day Life. It is still one of the collections I turn to most often. I think I did like 12 layouts with just that collection before I bought anything else. :D Brandy's A Little Worn Out collection is another that I bought early on and still use a lot. I LOVE the white alpha. I use that all the time.

I got a brushes and Ro's Scrapbooking Secrets in my first purchase. Blue Sea Collection, Blue Jean Baby Collection, and Jolly Holiday were in my second though. Then for my third purchase, I bought a few of those same collections again because I thought I hadn't checked out with them.... so I learned early on how fabulous the customer service is at ScrapGirls. ;)

The first puchase I made from the boutique included Ro's videos for PSE 3!! Boy have times changed!!

The first collections I bought were V's Baby Quilt Collection (which is being retired in a few days) and Spring Fling Collection (already retired, I think). I also got Lori's Glitter Brights styles in that first purchase.
I was pregnant and on bed rest and planning ahead for a baby album.

I've been hooked ever since.

Oh, what a trip down memory lane!

I made my first purchase on 8-10-08 after wandering all over the site. I had found a tutorial with a LO that I loved in the University (Jan Hicks' Deep Thoughts) so I purchased all the supplies listed and then spent like a week and a half trying to make a LO just like hers. I realize now that I should have started with Ro's Secrets (It took me a day & a half just to figure out how to move the png file onto my LO :)). Loved my LO when it was done though, and I was hooked.

The products in that first purchase:

Bella Collection
Brush Set: Cracked
Brush Set: Inked Edges
Brush Set: Rugged Decor
ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Calligraphy

How fun!

I started with Ro's Secret's, too! Then I bought a bunch of e-books. and I still use them (I have shortcuts on my desktop to all of them).
My first two Collection's were Valerie's Journaling 2 Paper Biggie (still a favorite), and Keri's Vintage Nursery. No babies around here, not even grand babies, I just wanted it!

What a fun thread, Janine!

Ooooh, rather scarey thread this one. I started reading what everyone's first purchase was and then started clicking on the links! Yeah - had to stop around there. I thought I knew what my first collection/purchase was, but wanted to double check. Just lucky I did as it was only a part of my first purchase (my second purchase, funnily enough was four days later - and then another four days later I brought several more collections ... last count I have 580 folders which I think means 580 purchases!!! OH my goodness!!).
Anyway - my first purchases on 11-05-2007 were:
Easy Page Pro: 5x7 Charm Of Christmas - Holiday Cards
ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Ever After
ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Fairy Dust
ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Tats, Tribal Tattoos
Tats, Tribal Tattoo Paper
I bought the tribal stuff because it reminded me of my home country - New Zealand with the local Maori and their tattoos. I will admit here though I had absolutely no idea of how to use templates, now thankfully I'm learning how to use them.
My second purchase was three times this size ... I was addicted from day one!!!
Okay - now must off and upload my latest purchase which I purchased five days ago but have only just managed to find time to open up!! Like I said - I'm addicted.
Thanks for this walk down memory lane Janine and ladies!! It's always so interesting to see what everyone else buys!!
Have a great 2010 full of wonderful ScrapGirls purchases!!!

My first collections were Brandie's Irish Bliss Collection and Melissa's Little One Collection Biggie.

I bought them to make Marissa's graduation scrapbook/video - her school was the Irish Institute, hence I needed "Irish Bliss" and I thought the Little One Collection was cute for girls...

I figured with those 2 collections and the embellishments from Amanda McGee's School Time Collection, I could get the whole thing done.

HA!!! Ask me how much stuff I bought after THAT!!! ;) Not to mention some Layer Your Own Cupcake Brushes by Erica Hite that I HAD to get after a UFO chat on one of my layouts.....was that with YOU, Janine? Or Christy? I forget - LOL

Fun thread.....
