Guest HDawson
I want to get a tablet that I can grow into... I hate to buy the Graphire just to be disappointed a few months down the road when I learn how to really use it. So, which one should I get? What is the big differences between the Graphire and the Intuos? How big should I get? I have a 19 inch widescreen. Thanks!!!
sprinklz
Hi HDawson- I did have the Graphire (which is a great starter tablet), but recently upgraded to the 9x12 Intuos. Wow - what a difference. The Graphire tended to drag (maybe because it was so old) and didn't flow very well. The Intous is much smoother and more exact - I'm glad I upgraded; I would highly recommend it. The tablets are designed to be corner to corner with you monitor so it won't really matter if you get a smaller tablet. In fact my new tablet is so big, I put it in my lap while I'm working. And the comfort grip pen that comes with it is much nicer as well. Also, if you have ps, there is a great tutorial for Wacom/Photoshop from Photoshop Cafe (someone from this message board actually posted the link I used).
