Hi all, I just installed an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 and PS Elements 6 that came with it. I've used Elements 3 for years. When I go to print a page, the screen that comes up for the Epson 1400 (the Color Management section) won't load the Printer Preferences for Epson paper profiles. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Epson help today and we reloaded the Epson drivers and made sure the printer paper profiles are there. I called Adobe and after some time was told they no longer support Elements 3. I've tried fooling around to get the Epson paper profiles to load but haven't been successful. Can anyone help me??? I'm so frustrated.

I'm sure if I understand exactly what you're saying, but it sounds like you're trying to print a LO that you made in PSE3 and have been told the printer doesn't support it. If I'm understanding you right, my suggestion would be to pop your LO into PSE6 that you got with the printer, then save it. It may print then. It's worth a try.

I'm sure someone will be along who has the same printer or is much more up to date on this kind of info. Good luck! :-)

I have the Epson 1400 but not PSE3. Do the profiles load in PSE6? I have not used the paper profiles that I have had to load but just select the paper shown with the printer. ie Premium Presentation Paper mat. I select the photo and remove the color selection check mark.

I don't know if that helps but maybe it's time to use PSE6?

Hi Suzi, I'm excited because I think I can help you. I have an R800 and a 1400, one or the other is always causing trouble. I have Elements, I don't use it but I opened it & tried to print a brush stroke. So when you get to the "Print Preview" window, when your ready to print, there will two boxes under the preview window. One says "show bounding box," it's probably already checked. Under that box is another one that says "show more options"(probably grayed out). After you check that box you'll see color management pop-up (to the right), under that will be "Source Space": untagged rgb (4me) and finally Print space w/ the icc's and all the paper settings. When you make a choice your intent window will become active choose your out put intent and print. Good Luck!!

Suzie I just realized you were talking about Ele. 6, I have 3 and 4. 4 works the same way as 3, maybe same for Ele.6. Hope your luck is good and all you have to do is just check a few boxes.

Thank all of your for your responses. I'm starting a new topic titled Epson ICC printer profiles that will contain the solution to my problem in case others are having the same problem.

I appreciate all your support and responses!
