How exciting! I still clearly remember being there 9 years ago, 7 years ago and 4 years ago. Three of my favorite times of my life. Happy 9 months to you, and treasure the newborn days that are over before you know it.

Hi Jenna and everyone! The pregnancy is going well. I'll be 17 weeks in two days. (My how time flies!)

Overall, I'm feeling pretty well. Some days I don't "feel" pregnant... until I see a slightly bigger bump after dinner, cry over the smallest things, or see the numbers gradually increase on the scale. I previously had dreams about a baby boy, so I thought MAYBE we're having a boy. And then, just last week, I had two dreams about a baby girl. Who knows! I'll find out at our mid-term ultrasound in three or so weeks. WEEE!

Part of me feels like I'm SO not ready for this baby, and then another part of me CAN'T WAIT to hold my baby in my arms.

I did a new layout (featured on the Scrap Pack Biggie: Beautiful Life page) that uses pictures of the first ultrasound and me with my early bump. More coming soon!

I'm glad you're doing well, Thao. And you're almost halfway there! Don't worry about whether or not you're ready. When you see that beautiful little face, all the other "stuff" won't matter!

She's right, Thao. And really, when baby comes, you just do what needs to be done. It all finds a way. I know worrying is a part of pregnancy so I won't tell you to stop, but try to relax as much as possible. You'll be great!

They're both right Thao. You'll be a great mom. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy and your last few months of being a couple before your beautiful baby bundle arrives. That's a fantastic layout you have done there!

Pregnancy was a special time for DH an me as we had such anticipation, so many decisions, all the shared unknown, and realizing that all we had known of our life together was going to change. Savor your time. I do miss pregnancy (I know, craziness, especially since it wasn't all that easy physically). Treasure it all.

As far as the dreams go, I dreamed once that the babies were born with only heads...but IRL they came out with bodies too! I don't put much stock in pregnancy dreams :giggle_bear:

Can't wait for your US!

Well, one thing is for certain Thao -- you will either have a girl or a boy! LOL

I think all moms (and dads, too) go through the Oh-no-I-cannot-do-this-what-was-I-thinking phase... :) I know I did and then when my daughter was about six months old, I remember thinking to myself, "I can't believe I ever thought this was hard!" Mind you, some days it IS hard, but we went ahead and had another baby and he will be 3 in August, so it just goes to show that it CAN be done! (And even more than once!) LOL

Your layout is adorable, Thao! I'm so excited for you. I was positive my second baby was a boy...and out popped a girl. Either way, you'll be thrilled to pieces!

Thao you're a gorgeous pregnant woman. Revel in your beauty. I have complete faith that you're both going to be stellar parents. Enjoy every moment you can of your pregnancy. Those moments are so short-lived. I'm looking forward to more layouts.

I'm glad you're doing well Thao! Thanks for keeping us updated. I love hearing about all things baby related, including pregnancy! I remember when I was pregnant with my older daughter, I would cry at Tide commercials! I was quite emotional. I was emotional the 2nd time too but I just stayed away from the news and overly dramatic movies (lol!).

Hang in there! The 2nd trimester is the best trimester! You're obviously pregnant but you're not feeling like you just want it to be over! Can't wait to hear whether you're having a boy or girl!

I loved your LO! Is it in the gallery yet? I want to LSL!

Lovely LO, Thao! I, too, dreamed before my first was born. I was full-term and being rolled into delivery and telling the doctors I had changed my mind! LOL That dear baby is 22 now. No regrets--even had four more! You aren't ready, but I believe the Lord provides what we need as we need it...except maybe the medical degree. That would've been helpful as a new mom! God bless you!

I love your LO, Thao - so beautiful! You're looking so sweet with your bump. You're about 11 days ahead of me!
I remember the swings with my first about whether I'd be a good mom, and wanting so badly to hold my baby. When I'd start worrying I would remind myself that all I really had to do was love my baby. All the other necessary things would come right from that.
And listen to your own instincts over anything you hear or read. This is the best advice I ever got. There's lots of stuff out there and so many different opinions, but you will know what's right for you and your baby in spite of this being your first. You will just know.

I always wanted a little girl, but while I was pregnant I dreamed I had boys. I only have boys, LOL. I also dreamed I forgot how to put on a diaper, even though I had been diapering babies since I was 10 years old. I've never forgotten how ;)

Awww... :bighug:
You're gonna be a wonderful mommy.

Tomorrow starts my 20th week. Even though I have Ethan & Hunter, I still find myself with all sorts of thoughts/questions about the proper ways to care for a newborn. lol I've had some of the weirdest dreams since I've been pregnant. I'm just glad I haven't had any of the nightmare ones lately. (Not baby related...just horror movie style dreams. :o )

Then I get paranoid. Like, a few days ago, I was feeling a good amount of movement. Yesterday and today, I only felt a tiny bit and some of those times I wasn't sure if it was baby or not.

We'll survive! lol

Your layout is wonderful. You look fantastic. :)

You'll be a great mom Thao! Being pregnant and having kids brings lots of things to worry about, wonder about and be happy about. I couldn't believe the hospital let me take first firstborn home, because I thought I knew nothing and had no idea how to care for him. It's all a learning experience with ups and downs, but you'll be amazed at how as a mom, you get a whole new set of skills that you never even knew you had. And no matter what, love is the key to the whole thing and you have that in spades! :)
