Hi-

I'm a scrapping newbie, but using Macromedia Fireworks since I already have it as part of a suite at home. So far it seems to follow most of the digital scrapbooking instructions I have seen for other products, but here's my question:

When I import alpha letters or photos, the default that they come in at is HUGE and I don't know how best to automatically size them down--I end up futzing, which kind of wrecks the alphas. Does anyone have any tips for this? It may be a universal settings thing and not a Fireworks issue.

Thanks!

I use Fireworks a lot, mainly for Web graphics, which is the program's strength; however, I'm sure digital scrapbooking with it would works too .

I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean by the images are huge? Remember that you are seeing most digital scrapbooking files at 300 DPI. They will appear larger on your screen than Web graphics, which have a resoluton of 72 DPI. Although the inches may be the same, the pixel size is the difference between high resolution files and low-resoluion Web files.

Thanks, Thao-

It may just be a display setting for imported things I need to adjust. I can see where to adjust the pixels, so I think it's just the default for how alphas and some other graphics come in. I'll take a look at a Fireworks book and see if I can adjust it somewhere!
