I am so happy for you and I hope they gain weight quickly so they can go home and you can start your new life with them! Can't wait to see more pics!

As of today, they are taking a bit of formula from a bottle and doing fairly well with it, Michaela more consistently than Aiden, so no need for a feeding tube so far. I'm still pumping and trying to get milk going, but not much happening there yet.
They are starting to look a tiny bit jaundiced, but have not needed to be under the lights yet. They spend most of their time sleeping, but when their eyes are open they are very curious and awake.
It's so good to see them and hold them; I was pretty afraid when I realized they were going to be born right now, knowing how little they were, but they look really wonderful, just especially tiny. I'll keep you all updated as progress occurs!
And Char, hang in there- you sure don't have much longer left for your little guy to arrive!! I'll be watching your thread!

Aiden and Michaela are now in the Critical Care Unit - a step up from the NICU. They are both still learning how to nurse, but aren;t very enthusiastic about it. They are still getting breastmilk, but are taking through a feeding tube. They lost some of their birthweight, but are back to gaining very slowly. On a simpler note, I get to put clothes on them now that they no longer have IV's, so that feels a little more like the normal mommy fun and is a welcome little change.
There is still a lot of work ahead to get them strong enough to eat and consistently gaining weight, but we'll get there. They are still very healthy for being born when they were and so very tiny. Keep the prayers coming! I'll add more pics when I get my camera back (left it at the hospital today - still somewhat scatterbrained!).

Poor babies have very hungry tummies, but hopefully that will make them so excited to have their milk that they will suck it all down without needing to go back to the feeding tubes. They are both sucking pretty hard on my fingers, anyway!
They have both continued to gain weight, though: Aiden (birthweight 3lb 15oz) is now 4lb 3oz, and Michaela (birthweight 3lb 5oz) is now 3lb 13oz. As soon as we can get them eating, I think they'll be close to coming home. I so miss them!!!!
As always, thank you all for your support and prayers!
I am still healing, too, but doing well. Tired of having to go back and forth to the hospital to see my babies, and growing weary of the intimate relationship I have developed with my breastpump.
My mom and dad have been here, and are a great help with the other neglected stuff around the house, so things are really going well under the circumstances.
