Help
Hello everyone My name is Ty. I have lived in Maui for almost 3 years now. My fiance is in the Hawaii Air National Guard. He is also a full time technician at his unit. My ex-husband was active duty Navy and at one point I was Air Force, both active duty and reserve. I love everything about the military and I am sure that being in myself has helped me to really understand what the spouses are going through as well. He is gearing up to do some short TDY's for the time being, but we know that longer ones are in our future.
I am 31 years old and I have two step-sons, 13 and 16. I don't have any children of my own at the moment, but that is something that we might work on in the future. I have traveled all over with the military and I have experienced may things, that means alot of photos to scrap. That is when I get the time.
I am really looking forward to meeting new people and making friends. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Good morning Ty, and welcome to Scrap Girls from an old Navy Wife. My DH served 26 years in the Navy, with one of our earlier statiions being Barbers Point, Oahu. We went back on a cruise a couple of years ago, and that base is completely gone now. Anyway, I just wanted to say welcome; you will love Scrap Girls. Everyone is friendly and ready and willing to share their knowledge about digital scrapping. I look forward to "seeing" you around.

Hi Ty, welcome to SGs! I am retired from the Army and spent a little time at Trippler. I was initially in the Air Force, but did a branch change for a scholarship. I had one of those weird careers where all my time (21.5 years) was done CONUS except that little TDY to Trippler. Looking forward to you sharing LOs about your travels. Make sure to ask if there's anything we can help you with as you get started here.

I see that you were stationed at Barbers point at one time, my fiance was born at Tripler. His father was stationed at Pearl Harbor, but they lived at Barbers Point. Do you remember anyone from when you lived there. I was thinking that if you did you might have known his mother or father. Last name is Hoffman.

Hi Ty and welcome to SG - my only advice for you is to start scrapping those pics now - we spent over 26 years in the AF and traveled all over the world and I have so many pictures of memories and don't know where to start with them - I had not started scrapping then and they are either in photo albums or filed in boxes - I find myself scrapping mostly recent photos because the task of going back through all of our military pics just seems like a huge, huge job but it is definitely something I want to do. So don't wait to long - have fun here and we are so glad to have you!
