Hi - new to scrap girls but looking for an answer.
I would like to make a spiral shape look as if it is moving toward me
is there a way to do this? I am using PSE 7.

Hello! Welcome to Scrapgirls!

I am doing what we call bumping up, I am afraid. I don't know the answer, but hopefully one of the experts will come along soon.

This is a great place to ask questions!
A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was,the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child....

Welcome to Scrap Girls!

Bumping this up, because I'm not a PSE user. I'm not even sure how to do this in Photoshop. I'm sure someone else will come along and help out, though!

The easiest way to make an object look like it is coming toward you is to do it with shadows. The longer the shadow behind the object the closer it appears. I hope this at least gives you a general direction to start in. Good Luck & welcome!

Try Image > Transform > then play around with Skew, Distort, and Perspective. Play around with the settings and see if you can come up with something you like.

Hi and welcome to Scrap Girls. There is a way of warping the shape at least in CS by being able to grab a point and change it around which changes the perspective, but I am not sure how to do that in PSE.

I was going to say what Sara said but I love Brandy's hint too. Hadn't thought about that.

And, welcome to Scrap Girls!

I use the skew distort and perspective options in PS CS3 just like Sarah and then add shadows... they really do add a lot of depth in a layout!
