New From Mexico, Currently Living In Indiana

Hello to all of you!!!

I've been looking around Scrap girls page for a while now, like 2 months... and today I decided to log in for the chat.

I'm from Mexico, but I'm living in Indiana at this time with my beloved husband.

I started with digital scrapbooking at the begining of this year, and I'm very happy with it... It's my first time with scrapbook things, because although I knew what traditional scrapbooking was, I have never do it before.

I'm happy that I found this so I can make my albums fun and complete with all I want in them before send them to print...

I don't do exactly scrapbook the same way I've seen in the layouts on the gallery... mine are more a mixture between regular album and scrapbook album, but all digital. And this is because I don't feel capable of pick just a couple of pictures to scrap... My husband likes to take TONS of pictures, (we had a weekend trip to Chicago last month and he took almost 900 pictures in 3 days!!!) How can I manage to do an album with so many meaningful and great pictures that he takes???? even if not all of them are great, I found my self with a LOT of pictures that I want to be in our album!!!!

Help...!!

Thanks for your replies to this message!!

Shanti

Welcome to ScrapGirls Shanti! We are so happy to have you here. :) There are templates in the boutique that can help you use more photos in your layouts and get them done more quickly too. When I have a lot of photos for an event, even a lot of good ones, I try to choose the best of the best. Usually there will be several good ones of the same subject. I'd narrow that one down the the best-- and do the same for the others. Do what works best for you!

Welcome to Scrap Girls! Thanks for introducing yourself! I take lots of photos (not as many as your dh, though, lol) and I struggle to narrow down what photos to scrap. So I completely hear where you are coming from!

Please feel free to ask questions and join in the challenges and chats! There is a NSBR (non-scrapbook related chat) tonight at 7 pm mt, 9 et and that's a great way to get to know people! We chat about everything...even scrapbooking!

Bienvenida, Shanti! I have just returned to the US after living in México for 6 years - what part of México are you from?

I can't wait to see some of your layouts!

Welcome to Scrap Girls!

We're so glad you found us!

I finished high school and went to college in Indiana. There are some beautiful parts of that state, for sure.

Don't hesitate to ask questions. There will be lots of others out there wondering the same thing, and they'll be really glad you asked.

Looking forward to seeing you around!

:)

Welcome to Scrap Girls, Shanti. 900 pictures is ALOT to go through but I probably have as many plus more all just waiting to be scrapped and I just sort through them when I am ready to scrap and do a few at a time - and nothing wrong with putting several pics on a page either! It's when I run out of pictures to scrap that I have to start scanning old pics that I didn't download to my computer and now I so wish I had, so never feel as if you have too many pictures when you really start scrapping! But welcome, and have fun. We are so glad to have you here!

Welcome to Scrapgirls!

It's great that you have so many wonderful photos! The templates can be a great way to get lots of photos on a page easily. The great thing about scrapbooking is you can do it any way you want. There is no set way or style. Just have fun and create pages that are meaningful to you and your family. Enjoy!
