Printing Questions - Not Printing On My Own Printer

Good Day,

I would like to print out a layout at Walmart or somewhere similar. I read that someone was very happy with Costco, but we do not have one in my area.

I would love to have it printed 12x12, but I am not sure how to do that. Normally, I upload all my photos to walmart.com and then pick them up in an hour...does this work the same way?

If this is not an option, and I want to make an 8x8, would I create the layout on an 8x10, and just leave 2 inches of it blank?

Sorry, I know this is probably a :blondmoment: question, but I am new to this and haven't printed out any of my layouts yet.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Hi Susan!

WalMart will (Or should, I've never used them in particular for this) let you upload a layout just like a photo. Just check their image sizes. It's probably 12x18 inches - so you can then open a 12x18 document, drag and drop your 12x12 layout AND two 6x6 layouts for the same price. Great for Grandparents albums!

If all you want is the 12x12 layout, the best thing to do is open a 12x18" new file (Or whatever their size is, that one's pretty standard, I think), make the background white with a black "inside" stroke border, then import your 12x12 layout on top. That way, they will NOT enlarge your 12x12 layout to 18x18, cutting off three inches on top and bottom (or both sides). Plus, you will not get a black line on top and bottom of your LO if the layout layer is on top of the white, bordered layer.

Not sure they can do that size in an hour, but probably!

Hope that helps!
