Hey Gals! I need help with the new 3D Chunky Alphas. The instructions say to put all your png files together, stacked to create the layers. I only have 1 png file for each letter. There isn't any way to layer them to get my face and then the shadows.

Did it download incorrectly or what am I missing? :hit-head-with-hammer:

I will be waiting for the answer right along with you, Margot - I'm a little stumped as well! Am sure someone will come along with the solution soon.

Maybe you have to use a style to get the shadows? I tried to look at these again and I'm still not quite sure.

Kacie - I din't think so because the instructions that came with said to layer the png files and there is only 1 png file. But on the other hand, I've been wrong before! lol

When did you download these? Just Thursday or yesterday? I downloaded some brushes yesterday and the files were incomplete and wouldn't even extract. It was because of the server error they had in the boutique this week. I just emailed Angie, and she sent me the missing files attached to her email.

Maybe that's what has happened with this alpha.

Doris's screen name is DorisC is you want to PM her.

I can't download these at the moment Margot, I am sorry. Please PM Doris and I am sure she will help you. Like Sarah said her name is DorisC.

As of what I understood about this product is that the alpha is one PNG file to put onto your layout. Put a paper on top of it. Clip it to the alpha and use blending modes to get the effect of the mktg image. HTH

You just might have to layer the png files by doubling the letter file and changing the blending mode on it on top of a paper file ...........just a guess then clipping the png over the paper to get the effect? I wish I could write what I was thinking on paper I can show you Margot if you come toPittsburgh LOL!!

I just tried clipping the paper to the png and then applying blending modes. It does seem to work but the face of the letter changes away from the original paper. At least I'm making progress!! lol

I'm off to PM Doris - I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorry there is confusion on how to use your 3D Alphabet. I have just written up a custom mini-tutorial that I hope can help out. I have attached it to this post. Please let me know if your would like any more help with it. :)
They can be a lot of fun to add to layouts.

Thanks
