Guest Li'l B
Hi - I use PSCS but unfortunately I REALLY don't know the program well enough so my questions today are about saving layouts as jpegs and uploading to the gallery. When you save a layout as a jpeg, you are asked to choose quality (numbers and low, med, high and maximum) accompanied by a slider (file size) and asked to check boxes about Baseline, Baseline Optimized or Progressive - so what does all of that mean and how should those options be set to properly upload and display a layout to the gallery? Also do I need to check interlace or not when saving something for the web? All contributions will be gladly accepted!
Guest hhugginsgirl
Hi- This is a program I use it's super easy and it's free. I keep it on my desk top and after I've done a layout I open it up in PIXresizer and choose 600 x 600 then save. It can't get any easier. Betsy
Here's what I do: I take my original, layered file and save it. Then I flatten layers, and go to Image>File Size. I change from 300 dpi (which is printing resolution) to 72 dpi (which is the resolution computer screens see). Then, I use the Save For Web feature (File>Save for Web). In there, you can move a slider to change the file size. I get it just under 125K and I hit save. Then I close the file, and say "NO" when it asks if I want to save changes.
