I really don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am trying to use a brush on an invitation I am making. I brushed my paper, but when I go to print, the brush is not there, but it is on my layout. Please help m,e

HI There! What software are you using? I'm not really sure what might be going on, but my first thought is, is your printer out of the color ink that your brush wants to be?
Hopefully someone else will come along who might have another idea.

Try saving the layout as a jpg. Then open the JPG and print it. Maybe that will help! (Not sure what software you're using, but it's the first thought I had and thought I'd mention it. Sometimes, files act weird.)

Thank you. That is what I needed to do. By the way I use PSE4. Now some of my brushes and shapes tell me I have to simplifiy my layer. Can you tell me what that means and how to do this.

It's been awhile since I've used PSE4 but I think it will be the same. With the layer you need to simplify active (click on that layer in the layers palette) go to Layers in the menu bar across the top of the work area and then click on Simplify. Or, you can right click on the layer in the layers palette and choose Simplify. HTH
