I'm using PSE 3 and have noticed something about shadows and I wonder if other experience the same thing.

When I adjust the properties of the drop shadow for one element in a layout it changes the shadow for all of the elements. I general make the shadow less prominent and sometimes I change the angle particularly for the layered layout templates. Sometimes I want the shadow to by with the lightsource from one angle on the left and the opposite angle on the right and straight down in the center of the layout.

Essentially, I'm wondering if this is something particular to PSE and not CS.

I have not noticed this but wonder if you could add the drop shadow "off the page" and then add it to your LO? If you merged layers they would not change as you changed some on the LO itself.
