I recently decorated many graves over the Memorial Holiday. I am never thrilled with the plastic flowers bouquets but they do serve their purpose. I was just curious to know if anyone have tried creating something for decorating headstones using SB materials. I used to paper scrap and I have tons of paper and supplies. I am not a terribly creative person but there must be a way to put something together that would look nice for days such as Memorial Day. I would love to hear ideas. Thanks.

Hmmm never though about that. But could be interesting to see what someone would come up with... Maybe a picture somehow of the deceased but done up nicely and put in some kind of weather proof frame, if they even have them...

For garage sales, I have used a top-loading page protector turned upside down, with the garage sale sign (done in Photoshop of course) inside the protector. The whole thing gets stapled gunned to a wooden stake. So you could just put in a scrapbook page next to the grave. Interesting idea! I might have to think about this for next year...

Laminating is another idea. Whatever you paper-scrap or digitally scrap then print out could be laminated (at Mardel's, teacher supply stores, office supply? stores). That should waterproof and somewhat weatherproof it. Anything (paper, silk flowers, ribbons) that gets exposure to the sun will eventually fade or bleach out due to the sun's rays. So even if it is waterproof, it's not going to be sun-proof.
