For once, the little kid who needs birthday cards is real- see here: Alyssa Bruno

I challenge everyone to send her a birthday card! No gift certificates or other prizes here, but I think it would be awesome if we posted pics in the gallery to share inspiration. Oooh- here's what I'll do- for the first 100 birthday cards that are posted (put a link in your reply to this topic) please email me your address (to sfcgijill@yahoo.com) and birthday and I will send YOU a card for your birthday!! No, I won't give your name and address to anyone else - it'll be written on the envelope and then destroyed.

My niece was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 5 - she's now 12, and due for her last checkup to be declared fully in remission. I know that isn't even close to the grim diagnosis Alyssa and her family recieved, but I sure do remember how it affected our family.

BTW, thank God for St Jude's Hospital!
