Here we go with Fridays Customer Submitted challenge and the winner is...................

Jane in NZ!!!! Make a background paper by blending at least 2 papers together. Use either the wonderful templates in the boutique or your blending modes on your computer. Then use it to showcase your photos.

Congratulations Jane. She submitted today's challenge and is now collecting her Scrap Girls prize! Email prizes@scrapgirls.com to redeem your prize.

Isn't that a fun idea.

I have been away for the last three days and haven't had time to do a LO but hopefully tomorrow or sometime this week I will get one done.

I hope that you all have fun with this idea. Please post your Layouts in the General Gallery

You can be our Friday challenger too.....

Submit your idea to challenges@scrapgirls.com. If your unique challenge idea is chosen, you will win a prize (such as a brush set, paper set, embellishment set, etc.) The prize will be a surprise, but you'll be sure to like it because you will get to pick out the one you like best (from the category you'll be assigned to shop in when you are notified that we are going to use your challenge idea.) Dont forget to include your name here on the messageboard!

Maybe this will be the excuse I need to stop filling in nail holes in the walls and sit down and scrap?! Love the concept of blending backgrounds - just hope I can get to do this challenge!

Okay, I finished a layout for this challenge. It's not the best, but I'm just learning how to use templates and this is my first attempt.

I used SS Paper Templates: Textures 10404, colored it, added a photo of my kitty Tini as the background and then I added photos of Tini.

Here's my attempt at this challenge. Flashy Dragon Fly. I used two SSPapers for this - and blended one of my photos that I took the other day over those to make a background paper. When I was taking the photos of the landscapes this pesky little dragon fly kept flying in front of my lens - so in the end I took a few photos of him! I'm glad I did. You can't see it in the LO but he had flickers of gold on his wings and he was swishing them this way and that - I daresay to try to confuddle and confuse some hapless female dragon fly flying by?!?!? It worked for me! I ended up taking about 50 photos of him!!

Thanks for the challenge Ngaire and Jane - you don't get dragon flies like this in NZ so I hope you ladies like it!

That is one of my favorite techniques; I have used it often! No time to make a LO right now, but can't wait to see everyone else's!

Oh ladies you are all so clever, love the LO's you have all come up with so far!! So I didn't get one done today, I woke up this morning to no power and we didn't get it back on till after 1pm. We had high winds last night. By that time my mojo had left me. But hopefully during the week I may get a LO done. Thanks to all you super ladies that played along with this challenge.
