Guest katykins
Tip 1 If you have a layout you are struggeling with, post it asking for help, you will get some good ideas back, then update the version and let others see and learn from it. Tip 2 If you have a layout you don't like don't discard it, keep it so you can either go back and change it or you might find after a while you like it, your tastes change
MLLatscrapgirls
Both good tips! Will just add that another reason to keep it is your own learning curve! You may look at it again in a while and realize that you just learned the perfect solution in a tutorial, or saw a layout that gave you just the inspiration you need to fix/finish it. BarbaraC1977
And, even if you never change it, it will give you a picture of just how much you progress over time. (Learned from a watercolor art teacher, who let us use the back sides of old painting to test brush colors, wetness, etc, but would not let us throw them out.) Julie - scrapaholic
Great tips. I have posted LO's that I'm stuck on and get wonderful advice and am able to then finish them. I have also left LO's for day's even weeks, to come back and have a new idea that works great.

Sherry Lynn
Great advice --- I have learned that if it isn't working for me, I set it aside AND come back to it at a later time!
April Showers
I often find new products helps those unfinished layouts. But then I think new product is a cure for a lot of things.
Julie - scrapaholic
I often find new products helps those unfinished layouts. But then I think new product is a cure for a lot of things. Had to laugh at this one, cause I can't tell you how many times I have finished a LO with the excuse that I had to get something new to finish it. Always works for me. Sara Arell
Great tips here! I have three layouts on my desktop that I just haven't been able to complete - they just don't look right I just put them away for awhile and will go back later with a fresh mind and maybe come up with some new ideas - sometimes I just have to start all over again and I think that sometimes I work way too hard at it and that ruins everything - I like it when the ideas just kind of roll in - that's when I feel creative! SodScrap
When I struggle w/a layout, I close it up for a later time. I often find that night while going to sleep, ideas run through my head of ways to "fix" it....

lorac
I have to agree with everyone. I just found a bunch of layouts that I had started, but never finished for one reason or another. Looking them over, I found one that I actually finished and made lots of changes to and then uploaded it. Received some nice comments on it. So you never know. Just stop, step back and save it. You'll get back to it sometime. And if not, so what.
