Ever wonder what you can get done when time is tight? Here is your chance to find out! Join Angela (angelaNussbaum) and Carla (CRS) for a Speed Scrap Crop! We'll give you six items, spread out over an hour, for you to include on your layout. It's a challenge that is also a lot of fun! We'll see you in the chat room tonight at 7pm MT!

After the chat is over, you will have 1 hour to post your layouts in the Staycation Gallery! We will be choosing a winning layout from the submissions tomorrow morning. We'll tell you all about the wonderful (and I mean amazing) prize at the chat! Good Luck!!

Here are the tasks:

Lets get ready for our camping trip!
1. You need a camera! pick 1-2 photos from your camera or very recently taken.
2. A 3 room Tent is a must for a family. Choose 3 papers, 1 solid, 1 textured, 1 patterned
3. Did you pack a hammer and string for the tent stakes? Use 1 or more nails and/or screws to anchor your layout along with a string embellishment (stitching is okay)
4. A compass to point your way (don’t get lost). Choose 2-3 arrows to use on your layout
5. Must pack food for 3 days. 3 days/3 meals = 9 total meals. You must use a total of 9 "DIFFERENT" elements. Meaning no duplication of a specific element. Ie: 2 of the same flower.
6. A well prepared campfire ghost story. Retell the story you do NOT see in the photo. Use at least 7 sentences, more if you can.

When posting to the Gallery, please put Speed Scrap in the title so we can spot it easily! Good Luck!

Thank you! I tried a couple in the past but didn't do too well, but I may be better now, so it's worth a try. It'll be a hoot anyway. :-)

It'll be way too early in the morning for me, but enjoy the speed scrap! I've taken part in a couple of them before, and it was fun.

Don't forget, you have an hour to gather all the items necessary for the layout, then an hour to create the layout. You can work on your layout during the chat if would like to! It's a lot of fun! I was able to complete mine in an hour...minus interruptions by the girls, lol!

I will try to be there, too--it was SO much fun last time, and I was stunned by how much I could do when directions mandated some of the decisions for me.

you can try to have photos or backgrounds ready,

but beware that a task can change things at any time.

The only real good prep is to have your scrapping software, photo folder and scrap supplies folders open and ready!

You can still do the speed scrap layout, just make sure to let them know you aren't eligible to win a prize.
