Fun Friday: Game With Lots Of Prizes!

176 posts in this topic

I took a few little screen shots to show you how to get there... Click on "Use Full Editor" at the bottom of the page. This is at the bottom of the "Fast Reply" box.

Then choose "Browse" to get to your file.

Select your file, then click on "Attach This File"

Now you can add it to your post!

Hope that helps.

Ro, you are a good sport to put yourself out there like this! I'd feel better poking fun at someone else, like some world leaders, but this is a delightfully fun game! Thanks!

Ro, you are definitely a good sport to let us do that. You will see that I am definitely not an artist, but it was fun to do this.

I gave up and added my picture to Staycation 2010. Ro Rocks Warped Tour. gallery_11057_548_108364.jpg

I had to look twice! That is so funny!

I can't find the browse button at all! It is no where to be found.... I would take a screen shot to show you but then I can't attach. I will go try another browser, maybe that's the problem!!

Okay...since there was so much confusion about how to add an image or a YouTube video to your posts, I've added screenshots to the directions in my original post.

Hope that helps!

Adding the image is not my problem...I can't even download Ro's picture except as a tiny thumb...the resolution is very low. Is that the way it's supposed to work?

What browser are you using Ann? Maybe if you switch browsers it will work better. I use Firefox. But make sure you double-click on it so that you see the huge image first. (It will completely cover your window.) If you right-click on the thumbnail, you'll download the thumbnail.

I saw April's screen shots but there is no browse button available at all in Chrome to upload anything from my computer. I am on my way to try another browser...

Well, I'm feeling like a real dunce (not unusual for me), nothing works for downloading anything except the thumb. I'm using Firefox, I'll try something else. After I double click and get the larger version, it downloads the entire page..every image that's included in the thread. I will persist!

Try closing your browser and coming back again, Ann. Maybe your browser is sending you the cached version and you need a fresh start.

thank you for the screen shots Ro...but I don't get that button. I have nothing above the options button. And I am hitting the ADD REPLY button first, not the fast reply as I am doing here. :monstercry:

Your screenshot is great, but the "attach this file" section is just not there. It just goes from the text area to the word "Options." I wonder if we have to have some setting enable to get that?

K I tried another browser. It is the same so now I am going to a different computer with a different operating system. That option is not showing up. On both browsers it just has Options in that spot and when you click it, it lets you turn on enable emoticons or signature. That's it. :hit-head-with-hammer:

Yes, Lynnie. The dialogue is found in the Add Reply button (above the Fast Reply dialogue). It's right next to the "Start a new topic" button.

Pab, it's because you are using the Fast Reply dialogue. (That's the one that automatically pops up.) Use the Add Reply button - next to the Start a new topic button). Look up and to the right. It's brown with a little green icon in it.

ok...I've tried it over and over. There is no attachments dialogue box. Just options. I'm using the ADD Reply Button next to the Start New Topic button (which states that I cannot start a new topic btw).

I took a screen shot to show what I see when I click on the Add Reply button...but I can't post the screen shot because it won't let me attach or copy/paste.

Thank you for trying to help me...but I'm giving up.

That's the button I'm using (the brown one with the little green arrow in it) and I'm just getting the text box and then the Options -- nothing in between. I wonder why you have it and we don't?

Could we upload them to the gallery and then link them that way?

Okay, try again. I just went into the settings for this forum and I think I found something that might have been the problem. Let me know if you still can't see it, okay?

OK, thanks for all the help, it looks like IE (which I rarely use) might have worked...now off to play with it!

It must have to do with the OS. I went to a Windows Vista and the attach is right there. On my windows 7 it's not. How strange!!!
