Hi,

I'm Anne Hathaway (not the famous one!)

Can someone tell me how, when uploadiing a LO to the gallery, to make the copywrite symbol? I didn't understand the instruction "use ©" to make the symbol....I am sure the simple explaination is on here somewhere, unfortunatly I didn't find it. I posted a layout to the gallery, a nice one I think! How do I add a link in the forum as suggested?

Thanks in advance...

First the copyright is © a space then your name. eg: When I do mine I write ---- © Heatheranne --- when the page loads it has the copyright symbol and my name. :-)

To add a link, go to the gallery page where your layout is and down the right side of the layout, you'll see a list of urls. There are two that you will be interested in and they're the bottom two. The image link is what you use to add an image to your signature, like a siggie, or blinkie. The Page Link is what you want for posting a link for a page that you want people to see. Left click on it to highlight it, then right click to bring up the selection drop down and left click on copy. Go to the forum that you want to link your LO page to and write whatever you want in the reply box about your layout. Left click an area on your blurb and highlight it (the title of your LO is a good choice). Now look at the top bar and you'll see a chain link with a green + sign - it's beside the happy face. Click on it and a drop box will open. On the bottom line of the box, the words that you highlighted will show. If you don't highlight words, then the words My Link will appear. On the top line, there will be http://, click there and it will highlight, then right click and paste. Your page address should appear in that box. Now click on insert link and you're done. If you are using Firefox, the words that you highlighted will highlight a different colour and if you're using Chrome, the url will appear with the highlighted words within it. Either way, when you click Post at the bottom of your message box. The link will appear and be ready for use.

I hope that I've made this that it is understandable and it helps you. Have a great night! :-)

Also, once you get your copyright symbol with your name in there, the next time you go to upload a photo, just click in the copyright box and hit the down arrow; anything you've typed in that box before should show up in a list (at least it does for me; my OS is Vista, so I don't know if that makes a difference)

Welcome to SG!

Thanks again all...Can I add the copyright symbol with my name after I have uploaded to the gallery?

Yes you can - Go to your layout in the gallery and to the right of it you'll see a button that says, "Mod Options". Click on it and there'll be a drop down box, click on, "Edit Image", and the page will flip so that you can make changes to your dialogue or you can add the copyright, whatever changes you need to make. Hope this helps and have a great day! :-)

Here is my LO "Time Flies"

I am testing my ability to link the gallery post to the forum thread per HeatherAnne's instructions....

SWEET...it worked! Thanks!

I tried your link and it's not working. I looked for your image, but can't find it in your gallery. Did you move or remove it? :-)

Heatheranne,

I did not remove or move it. The link seems to work for me. Not sure what is going on.

I'm curious if anyone else can see it or if it's just me. I'm also wondering if it's marked private - you would be able to see if it's in a public gallery or private gallery, to the left your layout, in your gallery. If it's in the private gallery, you can change it to public by going to control_edit my albums/Your albums/ and select the operation as edit for the gallery that you want to edit.

Your album may be okay and I just can't get the link to work for some reason, since no one else has said anything, but I just wondered. :-)

I didn't think of a class gallery, thanks April!

Annabelle, I'm looking foward to seeing your posts when you do public ones. I'm happy that the information helped you to be able to link your posts. Have a great day! :-)

ScrapGirls Message Board> Gallery> Member's Gallery> Annabelle_1016> Santa Anna Zoo ~ July 2010

that's the path of where it is located...someone left a comment on it, but that was before I put the link on the forum....don't know why it can't be seen....I may have it set to private...how can I change that? and if I do , who will be able to see it then?

Thanks,

Annabelle (Anne)
