I am trying to use my healing and spot healing brushes but they will not do anything. I last used them a couple of months ago and they worked fine. I am working with PSE8 and WIN7.

It's probably something simple but I cannot figure it out. Any ideas? I went to help and followed all the steps but no results.

TIA

Did you try re-setting all tools? Other than that, I can't think of anything right off. It's been a while since I used mine - hopefully someone else will be along soon who can help you. :)

You might want to check to see if you Caps Lock is on. I know that messes with a lot tools. I'm always inadvertently hitting the Caps Lock button.

I know it sounds silly, but check to make sure you're on the right layer. I do that all the time. :)

My Gallery I scrap with Photoshop CS6, but can help with older versions: PS7, CS2 & CS4.

Are you using them on a blank layer? If so, make sure that the Options Bar is set to Sample All Layers or Current & Below.

I always go back to my old "Mr. Fixer of all computer evils" - that happened to me and I re-started my computer and it fixed it right away!

Great! I was going to suggest making sure you were on the layer you wanted to touch up, just did that yesterday and wondered why nothing was happening...duh...not on the right layer! Glad to hear you are up and running once again!
