Today is a day of firsts for my grandkids (it's the first day of school here.)
Jon has his first day in high school.
Matt has his first day in middle school.
Kalei has her first day to ride the bus without her big brother.
Janessa has her first day in kindergarten.
Jillian has her first day at home without her big sister -- and she's really missing her. She was over for a little while ago & brought the DS, she was listening to some recordings Janessa had made & she started crying.

Wow! A lot of firsts. I think a day of firsts would be a fun page to scrap.

Congrats to all...and hugs to Jillian! I cried my first day of HS because it was my first day of school without my big brother starting school too (he was off to his first year of college). We youngest ones do miss the older ones when they are gone.

Wow, that is a lot of firsts! I hope they all have a good day and that Jillian learns to enjoy her alone time with her mom/dad/you:) I was thinking along the same lines as others: Sounds like the making for a great SB page to me!

What a great title for a layout, Ann - A Day of Firsts! I enjoyed reading your lists of firsts this morning - that's a great idea for something to do even if one does not do a layout of it -
Maybe I will make my own list today - or NOT! Giggle - mine would probably go something like this:
Today is Rich's first full day home from the hospital.
Today is the first day I may have to handcuff him to the bed post with his own handcuffs.
Today is the first day I might wish I had a rubber room to lock myself in for about 20 minutes! LOL
Today is the first day of the rest of our lives and no matter how negative things look right now, it's okay - God is watching over us and it's okay for Rich to feel so frustrated and angry and ill right now - and once I convince myself that it's okay for me to feel frustrated and bonkers today, that will be okay too, I think.
Great idea, Ann! And I love YOUR list!
