OH my, Thao.. Mercy is just precious. Her name is just lovely. I've been thinking about your often lately and wondering what was happening. I too had an emergency C-section. Though not what DH and I had desired, the health and safety of all involved was the greater good. I'm thankful to those that had the knowledge and skill to care for us in that time.
The highs and struggles come with the territory. They bring richness to the process (in retrospect a lot of the time

). The Lord will guide you in the path you need to take. Ask those who you trust to provide counsel. Just recently we have come to realize (and our girls are 8 yo), that parenting is a very fluid process. What was right at one point or for one family/child, may not be at another. Also (and this is a really tough one to swallow) we're gonna screw up in the process. Ask the Lord to guide you, and do your best. He will honor your efforts. Have grace for yourselves and one another (He lavishes is upon us for a purpose!). Be sure to enjoy your moments. It's so easy to get wrapped up in the business or in trying to do everything 'right". Savor it all.
I know you will do just fine. Give Miss Mercy and hug for her SG Aunties! Look forward to seeing you around here when you can.
Last piece of advice: Take care of yourself too!
