i use cs 5 and vista and there were a bunch of auto updates...now i find when i go to use my scripts that i have made into actions and my preferences, like grids etc... they arent there...things seem to have gone back to the default ... i suspect due to microsoft updates..is there a way to save or preserve these things so it doesnt happen again when next update..any ideas ?

How annoying, I am really not sure I have had similar issues before with Vista updates! maybe one of the more Software savy ladies can help us out!

LOL, but not really laughing, I am on the phone (on hold) now with Adobe, so I will ask...... I suspect it will be some time before I get back here....

That is so annoying. I had an HP update once that messed my printer up. I ended up having to reinstall the software. I hope you get answers here.
