Hi everyone
I have seen the most beautiful embellishments online and always wondered how people make those. Even when I would ask those people who they did it, I never really got a straight answer. I paid tons of money to buy actions, gray scaled items etc...I would love to learn how to make my own embellishments. I use Photoshop 5CS, Paint Shop Pro and Illustrator. I really do hope I can find some help with this!

Hi Nancy. I answered on your other thread but thought I would add here that I think the designers are kind of protective of their techniques since their designing is their principal means of support for many of them. Kind of like trade secrets, you know?

One of the coolest things about the Scrap Girls boutique is that you can buy the tools you need to make anything you want. For example, if you want to give a paperclip a metallic look. there are so many styles in the boutique that look like realistic metal. Or if you want something to look like felt or string, there are those styles, too. The custom shapes are superb. There are brushes and templates GALORE just waiting for your creative talents to use them. You don't have to create everything from scratch.

I have found a great deal of information in the Scrap Girls University. There's a link to it at the top of this page. If you look through the topics there, you'll learn some great techniques that will help you make the most of your supplies and software,

Also, it looks like you're pretty savvy with your editing programs....you could just google "how do I make a _____ with CS5" and you'd probably find some information that would help you.

Hope that helps.
