AnnBK
I don't think I've ever posted a book recommendation under this thread, but Laura Hillenbrand's new book UNBROKEN is a MUST read.(Her first book was the very popular SEABISCUIT.)Her writing is impeccable and the story is absolutely compelling. Any one younger than Baby Boomer status should absolutely read it...you will understand the incredible sacrifices that the WWII generation made so that the US way of life would survive. princessrunningfingers
Sounds interesting. While I'm not younger than baby boomer status, I'll look for it. Thanks.
CRS
Thanks for the info, Ann. I'll definitely add it to my list. I love to read about earlier generations, especially when the military is involved. It reminds me how lucky I am to live in this time with all the communication avenues available to me while dh is gone.

Sheri Johnson
I read this! It was incredible. I can't believe everything he went through, from sharks to unspeakable horrors in the Japanese POW camps. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
