This Christmas my Aunt gave me a large gift bag full of my grandmother's old cookbooks. That was a treasure unto itself, until I discovered that hidden between the pages were recipes written on scraps of paper my her. I was truly lightheaded to find these. She is almost 93 and will always be my most cherished person. Some of the recipes are illegible due to time and use; but they are in her own hand and beautiful to me. In opening up one folded piece of paper I even found flour in the crease.

Going through them I must say that quite a few tears fell. It was like being transported back to my childhood and dinner at her house, I seem to remember the desserts best!
Today I started scanning and scrapping these precious scraps of paper. I may also scan cookbook pages with her notes written by favourite recipes. I plan on making a few books for the ladies in the family, and will share my pages with my Grandmother as I finish them.
Posting this will help me stick to my plan and get it done! If you have any advice or suggestions for scrapping old recipes, or for kits I would appreciate hearing it!
