I want to photograph some objects to use in layouts, but I want to do it in a way that makes them really EASY to extract from the picture. I am open to any suggestions about how to do this.
Thanks very much for your help.

First, whatever color your object is, use a background with high contrast. Next, try to get the lighting so there's not much shadow. Shadows in the photo make extracting more difficult. Somewhere online, don't remember but a search may come up with it, I saw instructions for making your own light box just for this sort of thing.

Laurel gives instructions on how to make your own lightbox for this purpose. With pictures. It's in the Scrap Girls 2009 Digital Scrap Link Class: Let There Be Light . It has plenty of other useful info, too.
