There are some great filters in Picasa but I find I can not locate all my photos. It can not tell me where all my 2011 photos are. Is this a problem with settings? Is there a way for it just to show the tree from my computer. It seems to leave alot of files and folder out. Its driving me wacko!

Stephanie, have you looked under Tools>Folder Manager to see if the folder(s) where you put your photos is being scanned? I upload all of my photos to the default Pictures folder in Windows so I have the folder checked to be always looked at when Picasa opens. It should detect anything that has been added since you last opened Picasa. Also, make sure that you have the Scan Always option is checked.
If you find folders that haven't been added to Picasa, you can add them by checking that folder in the directory tree that the Folder Manager gives you.

That helped tremendously... TY. I keep all my photos and scrap stuff on my external drive. It wasn't scanning it. All fixed.

Yay!! I'm glad that was the problem and you were able to get Picasa to see your photos.
