I need help?!?!? OK i did some cute little flower doodles and i want to use them on a page. I scanned them and now i can't use them in DIP? For some reason they saved as a PDF? Is that how it is supposed to save? I went back and tried to do it again and change the format but i can't. What am i doing wrong?

Glad you figured it out! Most scanners should scan in a format readable by DIP. In case others were wondering.

OK now i'm running into another problem...When I copy and paste onto my layout i'm picking up the white background from the scan. Is there something I can do that will just "pick up" the image?

Lissa...I just want to say thank you! You have helped me out a lot!

When you scan you will have to extract the image. In your selection tools in your top tool bar you have a magic wand. If the doodles are all one color, you can pick up all of one color by clicking on an area with the magic wand. (if there is a lot of gray areas you might want to up the contrast so that it will be more black and white) Then you can either copy and paste into your LO, or to save it you can select the inverse (there is a button in the dialog box) and cut it (with the scissors or under edit cut). This should leave you with your black doodle on a transparent background. Ready to use for whatever you need. Hope that helps.
