Can you let us know the make and model? That would probably help us help you! (I know what it's like when you're frustrated.)

Sorry, and yes of course. It is a GE Power Series digital camera. 15x optical zoom, wide angle, high dynamic range with image stabilization.

Does your camera have an Aperture Priority mode? That one might work better to get a good macro shot. Set your aperture number as low as you can go... the camera will set everything else for you in Aperture Priority mode.
