Smiles
I'm looking for a somewhat obscure font, and a google search shows it on a couple of the free font sites. Does anyone know which sites are safe to use? DaFont does not list it. thanks!
varanda
I'd be more inclined to buy it from a reputable company or find a different font. You do have a virus protector though, yes?
Smiles
I do have virus protection, yes. And I'm happy to buy it - it just didn't show up on a paying site in a Google search. thanks, Valerie! I found a safe place to buy it. thanks again! Cheri T
DH, a super techy geek guru guy (lol) says for future reference: .ttf files (fonts) are not an exectutable .ttf (true type fonts) files are not executable (means not a program that can be "run") files so there is no way for it to run a virus. He ran a quick internet search and didn't find any evidence of a font carrying a virus. So the only thing to just check and make sure of is that you actually have a .ttf when you unzip the file. If you see a .exe, don't run it unless it is from a reputable site. For example, I know of at least one company I have purchased fonts from in the distant past that included a .exe file that automatically installed the font for me. It was a reputable company and I used the .exe. Anyway, if you ever find a .exe in what should have been a font file, just delete it/drag it to the trash bin! It can't hurt your computer unless you run the program.
