Hi. My computer uses the internet wirelessly. I just set up (today) a new printer (YAY!!!). It prints GREAT with the USB cord. I went through the steps it gave me to set up the wireless connection. It shows on the printer that the connection is there.

So...what now? lol I try to print something (of course, without the USB cord) and my computer says that the printer is offline. Am I supposed to tell my computer that I want to do it wirelessly? Where/how?

Any tips?
Thanks.

It is hard to tell without knowing what kind of printer you have. I have an HP and mine NEVER worked with Vista, but since I just got Windows 7 it totally works now. I had to set up the wireless network from the printer first. There was a menu and I looked through it to find wireless network set up and when it was done it said it was now ready for wireless connections. Then I had to go install my printer wirelessly? I went to my control panel to install printer, then it asked if it was a USB or a wireless printer. I chose wireless and this is where my computer searched out the signal from the printer and when it found it I was able to click on it and it set it up. Then I made sure I checked it to be the default printer and we have been good ever since. I don't know if that will help you or not, but I thought I would throw it out there. : )
Happy Scrapping,

I'll ask mark when he gets home how he did it with mine. It may be a prompt on the screen on the top of the printer? Or?? I let Mark do all the hardware set up and he'll know. I'm home from work early with a very sick kid, and he'll be here shortly.

Oh! I think I know! Go to your "network" in the start menu and see if you see the printer there. If you don't there should be something there that says "Add a Printer". It will search for it.
