Hello Syndee!!! So glad to have you join us! I haven't heard of Leslie Sansone, but I'll check it out later, too.

I'm checking in for today... 2 miles done on the treadmill at a 3% incline the entire time. I'm going to try to get outside later today and walk again, but depends on how fast I get tomorrow's Newsletter finished.

And can I share a super-happy moment??? I'm down 2.6 pounds from last week!!! That puts me at a total weight loss of 17.2 pounds so far this year! And just 10 pounds shy of my first mini-goal to hit by my birthday on May 1st! I think I'm going to make it!

On Tuesday, I'm stepping it up a notch and starting Beachbody's ChaLEAN Extreme program. I'm still going to try and get my walk in every day, though. It may just be a more casual one. :)

"purple walking princesses" - I like that. I just joined these threads in the last week or two, but I'm hoping they will keep me accountable.

Yeah Becca...I think you should have no problem of hitting that mark! As of this morning I was 6lbs short of my first 40lb goal, which i'm hoping to hit by the end of this month.

I got a 2 mile walk in today. The boys all went out to play baseball, Colby and I walked out to the fields (which is a couple of miles from our house) Then I hit balls with the boys. Would of walked home, but a colder front has moved through..must be getting ready for that snow they are calling for tonight.

Way to go, Angie!! That's incredible!! Have your boys started to notice yet?

I just got back from a 2-mile walk with the dog. It was a whole lot colder out there than I thought it was going to be. We don't have snow in our forecast, but it's definitely cold enough out there for some.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Walking has been really the only thing that works for me and that I actually stick to. I love the Leslie videos because they really get your heart rate up and the bootcamp one I am doing also incorporates strength training with resistance bands. I did 2 miles last night, it was hard but I was glad I pushed myself. I am pretty mad at myself because I gained about 5 or so pounds back after my parents visit in October and then the holidays didn't help! I just can't seem to resist sugar cookies and fudge! LOL Anyway, I was so happy to see this thread - I am hoping it will keep me motivated!!

I went out for another 1.6 mile walk today. It was very windy and chilly outside (a cold front is back), so my walking time might be limited for a few days.

Syndee - I just looked up Leslie Sansone on youtube and found 2 great videos. Together they are 2mi walking and she engages upper body as well. These are great for me for days when I don't want to go down in the basement to the treadmill. Thanks for mentioning them! My 2mi walk is done today!

Good to know Tonya! Thanks for sharing. I would be interested in that for rainy days.

Welcome Syndee!

Becca and Angie you guys are doing great on reaching your goals. Keep up it!!!

I feel like I pretty much slacked off this week. I am going to do better next week.

Syndee, I'm with you. Walking is about the one thing that I enjoy and can stick too. This group has been a great support system too. I even quit for 2 weeks and then came back, & got lots of support to keep going.

Hey Tiza, I saw a robin today. Spring is almost here. Can't wait to start walking in warmer weather.
