My Oreos tasted better than skinny feels this past few days. Ugh. Now I feel gross and wish I hadn't done that.

Eek, I hate when that happens. What are you trying to do? Rival Ro for "Chief Eater of Oreos" ? ;)
Now give me 30 pushups, fast!

After reading the NL last week I think we should re-name Ro to CEKLP (Cheif Eater of Key Lime Pie)

30? Really?

Okay, I did them, 30- but on my knees not my toes. You can all remind me why I'm sore tomorrow. ;)

Ro got me with the Key Lime Pie recipe! I was working on that article during lunch one day, and boy, was that a mistake! When I saw key limes at the store on Saturday, I picked up two bags of 'em. They're a very rare sight at our store, and I figured I should just go with it. I made the pie with my daughter on Saturday, and we had it on Sunday. It was delicious! I made my hubby take the leftovers to work this morning to get it out of the house, so I didn't have it for breakfast this morning. :)

Shannon, if you're like me, when I bake I have to taste at least one from each batch to make sure they are okay! LOL

We had birthday cake here yesterday, but I ate a piece of WW Strawberry Yogurt Pie instead, and made my daughter take the leftover cake home with her. I'm amazed that I managed to not taste the cake.

:exercisebike: :situps: maybe some of that?

I'm with you on that!

Seriously I need to get moving and counting points better. What tricks do you all use when you blow it to get back on track?

LOL! Today I think I will drink tons of extra water, lots of veggies, and do my 30 push ups! I'll go way easy on the points. Oh, and I'll get those pesky cookies out of the house!

You go Amy!! Just start fresh. New week with no used points yet.

Here's what I do when I want to prevent another binge...I calculate the points for what I ate. When I realize that I ate 57 points in cookies in one sitting, it's easy to remember when I am tempted to do the same thing again. I'll just tell myself...last time you ate 57 points in an hour. It has a bit of a deterrent effect for me.

So, you're are not the ONLY one who has been naughty lately! :D I had a major eat whatever I wanted (leftover slice of pie, girl scout cookies, tootsie rolls) on Saturday, and I wasn't nearly as bad yesterday, but not really all that good (sigh.) This week I REALLY have some good goals, b.u.t. it's my dd's birthday, and we're making her cake today..... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!!! Wish me luck and IRON WILL! I'm going to need it!! It's so hard to bake & not taste-test!!

IRON WILL!
IRON WILL!
IRON WILL!

(keep the chant going... :D)

:) Ha. Okay. Time to get baking. Her cake is going to be ADORABLE!! (I hope. :D) She wants a dog themed party, so the bottom layer is going to be covered in white fondant, with dog tracks going around and up it, the base is going to have a pile of dog bones. The top layer is going to be a food dish, covered in fondant, filled with cocoa puffs. Yummmm. She's dying to make it. She's sitting right beside me chanting, "I'm ready to make my cake. I'm ready to make my cake." :D Okay, yeah. Guess I'll go. GOOD LUCK to all of you & your eating!! WE CAN DO IT! (BTW, Hi. :D)

I could never do 30 pushups on my toes either (well not yet anyway, lol)...knees is fine:)
I made a key lime pie last year. Divine! The trick is to have a citrus juicer dealy-ma-bopper. I couldn't get more than a single drop of juice out with my hands/fingers.

Fresh fruit is my key. If there's accessible fresh fruit in the house I'm much less likely to indulge in a bunch of stuff I shouldn't.

Amy, sounds like you have a good plan for getting back on track. Do get those cookies out of the house!! I have been eating Special K Chocolate Pretzel 90 cal bars for a treat-they are really good for only a couple of points. Yesterday we found some strawberries that tasted just like sugar, they were by far sweeter than any cookie or candy in the house!

IRON WILL!
IRON WILL!
IRON WILL!
Keeping the chant going with you Joann! (and I agree with Charlene, we need to see that cake!)

Don't sweat doing real pushups. I swore never to do another one when I retired. Women do not have the musculature to do pushups well, and it's easy to aggravate your neck and/or wrists doing them. You can get a great deal of benefit from doing wall pushups (standing an arm's length from a wall, and slowly doing the pushup movement to the wall and back out. Try to keep your body in a straight line.
"No more pushups!"
:)

You know what I have been doing? I make dessert once a week - a proper one. And then the only thing I eat the rest of week when I get a sweet-tooth attack is a peppermint stick (left-over from Christmas). I'm down 13 pounds now and don't feel like my life is over.

That's all I have been doing- the dessert thing and watching my portions.

Hope it keeps working because I can't give up desserts. I'd die. (HA!)

I do need to force myself out of the house and do some walking. Doctor has ordered it.

Why am I having such a hard time with that? Tell me.

Amanda - pushups hurt my wrists too. So do yoga poses requiring the plank position. I think I have too much weight to be supported on my tiny wrists ;)

Ro - I find it much easier to go outside for walks than stay indoors and do an exercise video, or go to the gym. But that only works when the weather cooperates. At least on walks, it's just me, the fresh air, my MP3 player, and my thoughts. Exercise videos & gyms require too much concentration and coordination! :exercisebike:

I gave up chocolate and desserts for Lent...so far I've survived. When I get my sweet tooth in the evening, I'll have something to drink or maybe some frozen fruit. *sigh* it's a long way to Easter!! But I've also lost 2 pounds since Mardi Gras ;)

Yeah, that's it - I'll blame my wrists. 3 years ago at work I ruined my wrists wrestling a goose - really - and to this day my wrists have never been the same.
