Hello everyone,

don't know if i am in the right place for this, but here goes:

With my new iMac, I bought photoshop 9.0. Before, I could use the Shift key in my templates and the mask dropped in the file right where it has to.
Now, It doesn't anymore. When I drag the mask into the new file, PS just place it in the middle of the new file.

Please let me know!

I have PSE 8 Mac. I have found that if I drag up from the photo bin up to my LO, PSE puts it in the middle. But if I have the Template file as the top file and drag it over to the LO and hold SHIFT, it drops it in the correct place. HTH.

I have PSE 6 on a Mac and mine works like Debbie's.
It will only drop it in the correct place if I hold shift and drag and drop directly next to each other in the workspace.
If I try to drag from the photo bin, it plops it in the middle of the page.

but where do you drag it to then? To the bottom??

I don't know what settings I have to change in PS, but i cannot place the windows next to eachother, they keep appearing in the working space as "tabs"....

Hope I make myself clear....

I tried Edit, Preferences, Interface, and UN-checked "Show Documents as tabs." Closed PS CS4 and reopened. Documents still got put in tabs--it ignored my setting.

However, if you click Window, Arrange, you have a number of choices. You can Tile them, or "float" them. For old Windows people like me, Float is the same as "Cascade." Hope this helps.

Okay, it took me quit a while, but this is what I Found out:

There's no way, I can check or un-chekc something, what makes PSE 9 stop putting my documents in tabs.....

however, if i make a template-part, as i call it, active and i drag it down to the project bin on top of my blank document WITHOUT holding the shift-key; he puts in place!!

Here I am again with the same problem.

I have got a blank page and my template. But whatever I try, it will not put the template in te right place when I hold the shift key and drag it in to my project.

And the strange thing is.... that sometimes it works and othertimes it wont.....
SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Can anybody give me a tip?!
