I joined an excersize club a few years ago and was doing okay with it, except for when I noticed a few of the girls snickering. How rude is that?
Gggrrrr... that just irks me.
My husband's family actually laughs in my face, because I signed myself up for ballet in January. It's one day a week, an Adult Beginner class. DH's family thinks it's downright hilarious that my overweight-self puts on ballet slippers and takes a dance class. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not even close to "graceful" during class, but all that matters to me is that it's a lot of fun and I've met some great friends that way.
It's they who will miss out on the fun. I took balllet for a year and a bit when I was a kid. It'a a wonderful way to excersize - lots of stretches! lol As for graceful - the classes will help with that. I think it's wonderful that you've joined a ballet class and know that you'll enjoy it.
I don't think it's a biggy if you miss a walk here or there, as long as you get some kind of routine set up. I remember reading somewhere that for an exercise routine to be beneficial, it needs to be done four or five times a week.
I didn't get a walk in yesterday, but I did clean up some of the winter debri from the patio. I guess that yard cleaning will be part of my routine. lol It'll take a while to do an acre, but I'll have it done by the end of summer. roflol :-) I do have to get my front garden cleaned up as soon as it thaws a bit more. Rosie (the puppy) thought it was made just for her, if you know what I mean. roflol
