My first big goal hit. Maybe I should celebrate with Arby's for lunch...just kidding, but i've been craving it lately. LOL I would like to celebrate it with a long walk today. But it's rainy and cold, so i'll have to hit the Bowflex later and maybe the treadmill.

Oh wow, Angie - what a wonderful accomplishment! Instead of Arby's how about a pedicure or a new outfit??

I decided to work out with Bob and his Biggest Losers today since it's wet and cold out. When I got the video a few years ago I couldn't make it through the warm up. Today I did the whole thing (with some modification) and man is it ever a work out. Of course the dogs sat there the whole time and was wondering what the heck I was doing...LOL
Great job on the walks/workouts today gals! The way I look at it, it's 1 more thing to mark off my "to do" list.

Anyways I walked in one day, talked to the owner and started a plan that day. I really like her and she wasn't pushy at all. I explained how I would not do pills. I hate taking things that "smell" like vitamins do, and there is no way I was taking 4 pills 2-3 times a day like alot of these programs want you to do. So we skipped anything like that and i'm doing what they call their shake/tea/aloe program, which I have really liked. And it's helped me lose almost 10lbs (from my home scale) in the past few weeks.
Well last week they started their biggest loser challenge..and for some dumb reason I joined. I was for accountability more then anything. But I did also think that I had just started the program and I should do really good. So last week was our starting weigh in, and after this week I lost 2.2lbs. Now I do have to say what I do not like about weigh ins like this (and I had forgotten from weigh watchers many...many years ago) is that it's after a day full of eating, your obviously dressed more then what you would weigh in at home and I've drank a ton of water each day. So for my official weight loss I go by my home one.
I couldn't wait for that meeting to be over though. I was so disgruntled after that. Especially when there was people loosing 10, 4 and 5lb..and I got a lousy 2.2
I know i've been on this for 4 months and i'm not going to drop the weight like someone who just started last week will. But still I wonder why I put myself through the torture. I'm so close to just dropping out of it..but that also just doesn't feel right.
Ok..pity part is over! As I've had to tell myself many times on this journey "tomorrow is a new day"

That being said, I think I'm down 7 pounds since March 1st. So that's about 1 pound a week. I just need to keep losing....have about 15 pounds to get to my goal. I weigh-in every Tuesday evening, so it coorelates to Biggest Loser night on TV. I try to wear the same clothes each week, and weigh myself at the same time. For every 2 pounds I seem to lose, I gain 1 back the following week. So I'm only 7 pounds from where I started. It's frustrating!!

So tomorrow is a new day. I like that. My goal is to walk for an hour - 3 days a week. and if I can, walk for a half hour to an hour on the other days. 5 days of exercise would be awesome. I'm not looking forward to hot Summer and sweaty walks. But the way I am looking at it is - this is a life style change. Once I lose the weight, I have to keep walking to maintain a healthy weight.
I love this group! I feel like I can keep going.
