Kind of conflicted here....

My oldest, who just turned 21 is going to have a girl in a week. This is her 1st boyfriend ever, and the guy wanted kids bad, even before he met my DD.She was pregnant within the month they met. The dad is 21, homeless, no GED, no job and stays with whoever has a bed he can borrow. He lived with us for 8 months, but we had to ask him to leave when he wouldn't support himself in ANY way. There was also alot of stress on my hubby and son, who were working their butts off and coming home to see the boyfriend vegging out on TV all day. It stressed out my 6 yr old to the point the school asked if anything was wrong at home. The stress at home is now nothing to what it used to be. Its a mess, and hes not really changing. hes also been in jail for minor issues, but we don't like ANY kind of jail crap in our lives, so this is very disappointing to us. My hubby and other son, whos 19 are having to pay for the baby the guy wanted SO badly. My DD sees the guy isent anywhere near what SHE wants in life, but either feels sorry for him or whatever, so she wont put her foot down about him growing up etc. He says this baby will "bring them closer and be SOOO much fun" ( quoted from his facebook page) I have no idea whats going to come of this, but I was a baby born to a single mom back in 1970, and my grandma was the person who instilled the morals I have today. I guess now its my turn!
The baby is named Armonie Aura. Aura was my great grandma. Her due date is 5 May.

The love of a Grandma is a special blessing and it sounds like Armony Aura is being born to one who will support and love her.

Dear Terri -
I am so sorry you are experiencing such stressful times right now. I can relate to the stress of having a "kid" around who does nothing much at all though. I do know what you're going through........and I'm so very sorry you're having to deal with these issues but I am happy to hear that you're going to be the Grandma because I know you will do the same for this little girl as your Grandma did for you.

I will remember you in my prayers and please keep us updated - thanks so much for sharing this burden with us. That's what we're here for!

Lots of Hugs......

My grandmother instilled my values in me, and I know you'll do a great job with your granddaughter. Although the situation may not be ideal, this little blessing will light up your life!

understand that its not what you wanted...but i am pretty sure that once you see and hold your soon to be dgd you will fall in love and he will connect to... a baby is helpless and an innocent in all this..and it sounds like you know what you will need to do and dh will do it all too... love for this child will be the important link

Praying for a safe delivery for Armonie Aura and your dd. This is obviously not the ideal situation to welcome a new baby, but babies are blessings and it sounds like she is going to have a wonderful grandma. I am sure your dh will come around when he holds his grand daughter. Praying for your family.

My heart goes out to you. Thinking of what lies ahead can be overwhelming and leave you hopeless. Take one day at a time. May God bless you.

I pray for my grandma and all other grannies. Grannies are very good to their children and especially grand children. Let god keep them very happy in their days. God Be with them and bless them.
