Decided to through the term "fitness" in there also, since there's so many of us doing other things besides walking. Plus with summer coming up i'm going to have to change my routine some, as even in the AM on some days here in Missouri it's just WAY to hot to be walking.

Yesterday, I didn't get a walk in, but the boys did have a 3 hour baseball practice and I helped chase balls around for that time. So I did get plenty of exercise in. LOL


Today we did a nice 4 mile "family" walk before it got to warm out. And I have plans to help practice some baseball today. Should be an active day!

I've haven't been doing a lot of walking, although I've tried to get a shortie in each day with the dogs. However, for several days, I was cutting and burning branches, from the large pine that fell, during a wind storm. Then a couple of days of raking up all the small branches and saw dust, so i'm beat and still have a ton of branches in the back yard to get to the firepit. This spring has started out heavy duty for us and I do hope that the worst is over.

Well, I still am not supposed to do anything that involves machines myself, so I'm just doing alot of walking - I love walking early in the morning before the heat of the day sets in. My favorite thing to do is walk the avenues and walk to Main Street - I'm probably not getting the amount of exercise I should be but until my ribs and chond.........whatever it is heals, there isn't much else I can really do.

I do mow the lawn and get out in the garden alot and I guess that's exercise too!??

I'm trying......... :disappearing-smilie:

It's over 80 degrees here today - it's beautiful but waaaaaaaay too hot to stay outside for long - I walked down the street and back and thought I was going to die for sure! Rich just went outside to get in his hammock but I'd be willing to bet that even in the shade he won't last very long! :) :)

Oh it's the same here. We walked very early this AM before it got hot out. But the next few days it's suppose to be 90's and only in the 70's at night. Looks like i'll be doing the treadmill and bowflex for sure. I also got the Biggest Loser for WII today...we'll see how that goes. LOL

I walked about 3 miles this morning with my daughter. Glad we got it in early since it was pouring outside the last time I looked. I want some of that 80 degree weather!

Already dreading the heat!! I might have to dust off all my Wii exercise programs too.

I used to have a stationary bike that I absolutely loved! It was small and it folded to be put away ... It didn't have alot of bells and whistles but the repititions were all I was really interested in anyway and I really lost some inches using that bike. Would love to have another fold up exercise bike but haven't been able to find one. If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know. Muah!!!!!

This one's pretty fancy, Dave's mother and sister got it for him for Christmas so he could work out a bit after his illness. I think I've used it more than he has!

Most of them are pretty fancy........I have a fancy, smancy one in the basement but it just takes up too much room upstairs and I like to pedal while I watch tv - that way I have no idea how long I've been pedaling!!!! LOL If I look at a clock, I don't do it! And Rich goes to the gym four times a week, which doesn't interest me too much - I'm not at all "gym inclined" - LOL LOL

I'm a wuss. I don't like walking in cold weather, hot weather, or rainy weather. So I guess my couple weeks of ideal walking temperatures are over. :monstercry:



Last night I dusted off my Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred DVD and did Level 1. :situps: I forgot how hard it was!! And oh my, I am sore today!!

Oh I understand! I hate walking in the heat...but I have to say I'd rather do that then the treadmill. So I packed up my H2O and headed out for a nice, but hot 4 mile walk.

Ok ... I was so busy last week I didn't check in ... but I did want to share that last week I did my 1 hr water aerobics M/W/F plus added a 30 minute walk on my lunch hour m/t/w/th. Whew!!

So far this week I did 1 hr h2o aerobics and 30 minute walk Monday and a 30 minute walk today. I am pulling my weights out tonight and working on some specific routines that I have done in the past.

Walked 1 mile today. Not exactly my original goal, but I figure something is better than nothing. Just haven't been feeling the greatest lately. :(
