I purchased Gallery Prints 6301. It is listed as an action. My question is, do I install it in PSE 8 using Vista as I would install any other action? Would I put the .pat file in the Photo Effects folder with the ATN file? There is no PNG file.

HI There, I checked the boutique the Gallery Prints 6301 action is a full Photo Shop action you won't be able to run this in PSE. If you email Angie she will refund your money and there is a PSE SS Emb Set for Gallery Prints, here.
Hope this helps, and no worries, I have bought PS actions before and even the same thing twice, Angie will help you no problem!

Thanks!! I was afraid of that. I appreciate the link, because I was really anxious to use that file. Angie will recognize my name--I've ordered things two and three times!!!

OK. Now I have SNU_SSEmb_Gallery Prints (templates) for PSE8. I has png files and one psd file. I'm embarrassed to say I don't know how to use it. Do I install it? If so, how. Or, do I bring all of the files into the layout? I need details, please.

The ScrapSimple templates you don't install. You open them in PSE as you would open or bring in any file. If you've never worked with the ScrapSimple line before, you might want to download the free e-booklet Scrapsimple Handbook. Or, you can find several tutorials on using templates in the Learn How section of this site.
I don't have those particular templates, but what you purchased probably has several .png files and a .psd file. The .psd file will be all put together for you already and when you open it in PSE, it will come in as layers. You then use the different layers as clipping masks for adding your photos and backgrounds (if you don't want to leave them black.) Have you used clipping masks before?

Pat is right! No need to install just open it up and drag your photos into it! Works a bit different because not an Action. Have fun they are a great set!!!

Thanks ladies!! It is working beautifully. I thought I was missing something by not using all of the .png files. A couple more pictures and I will be done.
