Funny Belle! Actually you can do whatever exercise you want as long as it is for at least 20 minutes each day for 30 days. It's not easy, but worth the results.

YAY Tina...welcome to our group!

Sara, you can do it..just don't give up..just 20 minutes. (I keep telling myself that over and over...lol)

Thanks, Brandy! You're such a sweetheart! I'm working on it!

Gulp! I ordered mine today, so count me in. I'll be honest, I tend to be an every-other day type girl, so it'll take me 60 days, lol.

Ooooookay, I'm in. I've been making excuses for WEEKS and now one of the gals on Biggest Loser weighs LESS than I do. Boo for me and good for her, I guess. I'll dust off the DVD.

That's enough to be motivation for me too. I don't like weighing more than the Biggest Loser contestants!

I lasted about 15 minutes.....whew! Does that count? 5 more minutes would have seemed like an eternity to my body! And it doesn't seem to bother my ribs at all - go figure!

Cheri you can do your Chalean instead of the Shred if you want. Do whatever you feel comfy with.

Is Shred aerobic or anaerobic (I'm guessing it's this one)?

Before I went on vacation, I was working out to Turbo Jam but the kicking started to bother my knee. Walking still bothers it a bit, over a month later, but I keep plugging on. I'm excited to start on Monday!

Ok...so I haven't read EVERY post...but...I don't think with my back issues I can probably even do low intensity. ??? Any comments on how "low" low intensity is? Things that are the worst for me are things like sweeping and running the vacuum. Whatever that slight bending/pushing motion is, KILLS me, and it only takes a little while for it to be really bothersome! So.........with that said, what do you think?

I realized I could do something else, heck, right now, walking 20 minutes a day for 30 days would be great. (I was doing this last year but quit when the PT people scared me about walking on the gravel road, but that is my only option!!)

Jillian wants your heart rate up in Shred, so I'm guessing aerobic...with some weights. You start with some aerobic, then quickly move to a strength section targeted to keep your heart rate up, then a short ab session. Rinse. Repeat. I found level 2 the hardest with lots of the work 'upside down'--plank moves, etc.

I'm looking forward to this! I lost a bit of weight with this last summer, then got into a very stressful teaching position in the fall and Snicker-ed my way back up. I lost a couple of those pounds since Christmas and have maintained...but want to get back to a healthier place.

And I alternated Chalean with Shred last summer. Kept it from getting too monotonous.

Thanks Kim; it sounds somewhat similar to the Burn Intervals in Chalean Extreme. If so, I'll like it. I think that's my fav workout of Chalene's.

Conda you can walk, if that's what works for you, it's just all about keeping the commitment to the team. So whatever you do, as long as you do it, it's fine by us. A lot of us (umm OK me mostly) sit way too much behind my computer, I need to move!

I'm with you Theresa...my copy of the DVD sitting on my desk buried under a pile of papers. Until the 16th I don't even want to look at that perky face of Jillian. LOL

I sit way too much too Brandy!!

This is an awesome support group-thank you so much! Think how awesome it would be if we were close geographically IRL!!

Angie...I will have to come down sometime and we can walk together!! (when it's not as miserable as it has been this week!!!)

Okay, Conda, I am adding your name to the SG Shredders list. If you can't do the Jillian exercises because of your back, you can do some other activity. The important thing is to get up, get moving, and keep accountable with the group :)

Cheri, I don't think it is as intense as Burn Intervals. For one, it is only 20 minutes and not 45! But the idea is the same.

Yeah, I know, those 45 minutes about kill me...HOW much time is left on the clock?! :)
I figure with 20 minutes, if I still need more (yeah right) I can jog a bit. That's the latest thing that sticks in my head that I need to do. Crazy, I know. Maybe I should go work that out (pun intended) in the boutique;)
