I figure with 20 minutes, if I still need more (yeah right) I can jog a bit. That's the latest thing that sticks in my head that I need to do. Crazy, I know. Maybe I should go work that out (pun intended) in the boutique;)

In my mind, in a perfect world, I would like to take a small walk around the block first to get my body loose and blood flowing, and then come home and do the workout. Just to increase extra calorie burn. Because after the workout, I just collapse on the floor. But we'll see if I actually stick to this plan.

That sounds like a great idea Tiza. I'd love to do it in that order too, but practically speaking, I know I'll do the workout when I'm home with 1-3 kids. Can't just bop off and jog, darnit. I could potentially jog with William in the stroller though. Things to make me go "hm"...

Yeah I'm trying to figure out WHEN I will be doing my workout. If I do it as soon as I get home from work at 5, then cooking & eating dinner will get pushed back later. And I don't like eating too late in the evening. But if I cook & eat first, I'll have to wait and rest my stomach before doing the exercises, so then the exercise will cut into my SG chat time. And I don't trust my neighborhood enough to go walking once it's dark outside.
I need to figure out a system and schedule it for myself.

Where I am we have "country blocks" which are 4 miles total .. that would not be a short walk for me!! :D

Same here, Lei! My block is 4 miles around too. And finding/making time is always my downfall. I don't always know if I'm working until after 8. Then I'm usually into something if I'm not working. But the busy sports seasons end next week. Only a couple more track meets so more time at home in my future! This will be a good kick-off to my summer--I can roll back into Chalean after our 30 days...

Wonderful Tina...get ready ladies, we start tomorrow!

For you first timers:
Everyday you need to check in to report that you did your exercise. This time, our lovely Theresa will be charting our progress.

Theresa will you be starting a new thread for check in or using this one?

I will start a new thread for the daily check-ins.

Each day that you report back to us and tell us you completed your workout, you will get a gold star (or pink heart or purple flower or whatever other embellishment I feel like using that day). I think the chart will be a great way to motivate yourself to keep going each day, to motivate each other when someone misses a few days, and to track everyone's progress through the 30 days.

Ready or not, Monday will be here before we know it ;) ( Yes, starting Monday....we'll let you have a full weekend of rest!)

Whew! When Brandy said tomorrow - that is Sunday here ... and I thought we were starting Monday. My DVD has not arrived yet ... scheduled to be here Monday - but I will be continuing with my 60 minute water aerobic class on Mon, Wed, and Fri in addtion to Jillians dvd ... so if it does not arrive in time on Monday I will still have gotten one 60 minute workout in.

I've gotten into the habit of walking the dog right after the bus comes, so on days when I have time, I'll walk him first then hit the dvd. I do it for him, but I enjoy it, too, lol!

It really does! Funny how a cute little graphic by your name can be such a motivation. :D
I'm hoping it will be a lot easier this summer too- since I weigh 60 pounds less than I did last summer.

OK, you all have got me curious! I don't think I'll be running out to get the DVDs but I do have a Wii fit that I bought over a year ago and have yet to use so maybe I'll actually get it out and dust it off. I'm doing WW so maybe I'll shed something! :exercisebike:

I just googled the video you all are talking about...don't think I can do that (yet)! But, really need to get back in shape, back and knees are starting to hurt. I am planning on doing Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. It got 5 different walking routines. I can do a different one each day. Level 1 is about 20 minutes and uses light weights. Does this count?

So I thought maybe a little "preview" of the Shred DVD was in order since I had no idea what to expect. The warm up didn't seem too bad so I followed along. Somewhere between jumping jacks and squats my thighs started to scream. Enough preview for today, but can't wait to get into this routine on a daily basis! I'm going to have to ease into it.
