Hello fellow SG Shredders!! This is the thread where you will check in daily after you complete (or don't complete) your workout. I'm posting it tonight, so it will be ready for you early bird workout-ers.

Attached is our cool check-in chart, where I will record everyone's daily progress.

Attached File  SGShredders-MayJune11 copy.jpg (589.82K)
Number of downloads: 20 LAST DAY!! GOOD JOB LADIES!!!!
Chart updated 6/14, 8:15pm MT)

It looks daunting right now, with 30 blank columns...but imagine how strong we'll feel once we get to the halfway point!! And if you notice that a fellow shredder has missed several days in a row, feel free to check up on them, support them, motivate them to get back into it! We're all here for each other!

Let's shred those pounds!!

LOL Scrap Girls cooking club? No, we are shredding pounds! Several of us are following the Jillian Michaels' 30-day Shred DVD program, starting today. And a few others are joining our support group while they do the physical activity of their choice. At least 20-minutes a day, every day, for the next 30 days. And everyone checks in with the group everyday to stay accountable!

love the chart Theresa!!

Ok...I got mine done for the day and i'm getting ready to go out for a little walk.

I have to admit I had to stop a few times through, mainly on the jumping jacks because my knee was hurting. But like Jillian said I stopped for no more then 5 sec and started doing it again. At the end when we did jumping jacks again, I replaced it with more "butt kickers" I figured since they were in the cardio section..and we were doing cardio that would work.

Off to go for my walk today. I think since I'm doing this i'll make it a little shorter but at least 3 miles

WTG Angie! You are our first checker-iner :)
I often swap butt kicks in place of the jump rope. The jump rope always hurts my knee/leg.

Ok I'm at work and finally got into the boards. I did my 60 minutes water aerobics this morning (5:30 AM!). I am hoping the dvd will be on the doorstep when I get home tonight, but my water aerobics should count too, right??

You all need to tell me what butt kickers are or how to do them - I know with the torn meniscus I'm going to have knee issues with jumping jacks/ropes (unless I jump on my rebounder)

Checking in -all done! Level one complete for the day, yahoo!
Did I miss where she says how many pounds they are using in the DVD? I used 5 for some and 3 for others, and those side lunges toward the end -whoah baby, did that KILL my arms. I finally put the weights down and just lifted my bare arms, lol.

Btw, if you'd like to add Michael (5) and William's (2) names to the chart, they worked with me today! No, REALLY! Michael especially, did ALL the motions and used 2 or 3 pound weights most of the time. Yikes! :) (teehee, you don't really need to add them, but I'll report for them too)

Ok...I just got back from a 3 mile walk also. So if i'm really quiet tomorrow it's because I can't get out of bed, due to the fact that my muscles are so sore. lol

I say water aerobics count!! Butt kickers are just as they sound - you kick your own butt. As you are jumping, you kick the heel behind you trying to kick your rear. They do work the knee, but I like that they are fuller movements and not as small/limited as a jump rope. They dont bother my knee or leg at all, but I don't know how your issue would be affected.

I'm done for the day too - really done!

Thanks for putting me on that wonderful, pretty chart you made! Gosh, you did a great job with that!

I really do have to be held accountable - I did my walk/jog today - only 2 miles though cause I am honestly sore from trying to do that video that you all are doing so well. The jumping jacks almost killed my poor achy breaky ribs...........

THANKS bunches for putting me on the chart and for doing all of this! You're da bomb!

I have to agree jumping jacks bother my left knee...but butt kickers don't bother it at all. I actually find them pretty fun..lol

If Jillian is going to figuratively kick my butt, I might as well do it myself!

I survived day one! My arms are sore, but other than that, I'm ok. I didn't do all the pushups, but I did most of them. Day 1 is done!!

Officially shredded for today. My shoulders are shaky! The JJ's twinged my knee a bit today--just did some jog steps with JJ arms.

Einstein said of relativity: "Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity."

Einstein OBVIOUSLY never spent 20 minutes with Jillian Michaels!

Count me shredded, ladies! HOOOAHH!

ROFLOLOL! That's usually me the first day after. Last time I did the shred, I couldn't move for a few days... I really killed myself. So this time, I went a bit lighter to start off. I'd like to be able to do another workout tomorrow. lol!

 THAT is funny! I just kept wondering today as I worked out how I'd be doing if the cameras were rolling and Jillian was with me on the ranch. I don't think she'd have been that polite.

I started with a 12 minute (0.8 mile) walk around the block to warmup, then did Day #1! I forgot how much those bicycle crunches hurt my lower back :( And I discovered that I'm only using 2 lb. weights instead of 3.....and even those hurt my arms!!

We're off to a great start everyone :)

Ok it is 7 pm and my dvd has yet to arrive ... the tracking said it is "enroute" so I hope I have it for tomorrow. If not, I'll do a 3 mile walk away the pounds with 3 # weights (maybe 5 if 3 is too easy).

Rich and I are going to get our bikes out sometime this week and start riding again - bikes are good for the buns! :)

I'm checking in - just got off work. Got mine done this morning, early. Not sure my thighs will hold up for tomorrow for squats. Ibuprofen is my friend.

Bwahahaha!

I am thinking I was pretty stupid now...DH didn't really believe me that I would take up jogging, so when he said we should bike the mile to Bookmobile tonight, I said I'd jog ahead. And when he didn't think I could do that in a specific time frame, I said I could. Well, I did! LOL! I showed him, teehee. AND I jogged home too, and now my legs feel like Jello. Uh-oh. Tomorrow could be interesting...Angie, if we're both in bed tomorrow, at least misery will have company;)
