Go boys! I can get my "boy" to do it with me, but he is very supportive & encouraging. For instance he will ask me...in his best Jillian voice.."Are you a quitter????" I say "no!" and we laugh.

We actually did level 3 today to see what it was like. I have to admit I like it alot more then level 2, I think it's a little easier on the knees

Good for you! It's been so long I can't remember, so good thing to look forward to.

I completely skipped my workout yesterday. I got involved in "weekend" things and before I knew it, my Saturday was over. I knew my weekends would be the worst part of this Shred challenge!! After my load of laundry is done, I'll do today's workout (maybe I'll try Level 2 again), shower, then get ready to head out for dinner.

You all are doing great!!

Level 2 Shred - done!

...Just not done well ;) You know how Jillian says she wants you "gargling your throat" on the oblique twists? Yeah, a couple times during the workout today I actually felt bile rising in my throat. Not fun. I'm like the contestants on Biggest Loser that you see vomiting on the treadmill. And I was following the low-impact trainer!! So during the oblique twist section (circuit 2), I paused the DVD and just paced around my apartment for a minute or two until my stomach and racing heart calmed down a bit. Then I continued. Plank jacks, I couldn't do at all. By that point, I was too tired and out of breath, I couldn't even hold my body up for 10 seconds. So during plank jacks and the plank twists, I just went back to doing bicycle crunches from level 1.

Oh my, I didn't realize I was so much out of shape!!! And this is almost the halfway point!! :situps:

Oh, yeah...and did I mention that I'm sweating so much, my glasses kept sliding off my head and I kept dropping my hand weights? This could be dangerous :eekout:

Don't over do it, Theresa!

I did level 2 today and I liked it! Dh did it with me and it went by pretty fast. We did it before all the birthday stuff started today and I'm so glad because there is no way I could do it tonight!

Done for the day. Level 2 with weights.

Tiza, be careful! Don't break a toe with those weights. Wanna know my secret for sweating? Run a fan RIGHT on yourself during the workout. It's great:) I feel SO much better when I do that.

LOL my ceiling fan was on high and I had the AC vents blowing on me the whole time. I absolutely hate to sweat, so level 2 was rough for me. But I muddled through it, and ended up as a puddle on the floor. :giggle_bear:

walk and shred done for the day

I have to thank you all for starting this. I know every morning I SOOO do not want to get up and do this. Especially with it getting warmer outside. But once i'm done with my walk and shred (and have sweated off 5lb daily...I've had sweat in places I didn't know possible) I feel so much better. It's amazing how after you excersize in the AM you just feel "lighter"

Ops! I've been so behind on my updates....

Been very busy at work last week, getting home at 9:30pm leaves me no time and energy to do anything else but sleep :( So, no workout for me from Tuesday (Day 9) thru Thursday (Day 10). Ouch...three days of no workouts! Ops..again :)

Friday (Day 11) - we drove up to Hershey, PA. Spent the afternoon thru evening walking around Chocolate World and Zoo America. I swear, I did not eat any chocolates that day...not even the free ones they give out after the tour! But, then the only place we can think of to get dinner was at Fuddruckers, got Taco Salad though :)

Saturday (Day 12) - spent the whole day, walking around the Hershey Gardens and Hershey Park. Fun but so tiring day!

Sunday (Day 13) - we drove back home to a pile of laundry. And so...no workout again. Tired!

I still have to do my workout for today. Will update when I do get it done :)

Oh, also want to say YAY to you all for doing such a great job keeping up with your workouts!

Hi! I'm back home now. Didn't do shred today BUT we did some heavy gardening--about 3 hours worth! We (my DD and I) scavenged for field stone in our not-yet-planted fields, dug trenches and set the stones in a border (I dug, she set stones...). Then we did about an hour of light gardening...weeding, planting a few more annuals, etc. I'm beat.

My refreshed flower/herb beds:

Kim, the flower bed looks fabulous!!!

Dh and I did the shred today. We did level 1 so he could try it out. We did it in the middle of the afternoon in a hot house, but we got through it!

Hm, if I wrestle the rabbit fencing I need to put up, lay down newspapers and mulch (to keep out the weeds), and 100 wheelbarrow loads of mulch tomorrow, that'll be a nice workout right? (my muscles hurt to think of it)

I'd count that. My muscles hurt thinking of it too. Jillian would tell you to do lunges as you pushed the wheelbarrow. And remember to keep the abs in tight.

LOL! Now that's funny!

Kim I love your garden bed. It's so cool to take a peek into your world.
WTG Carla. Did he like it?

Just to let you all know, Jeroen and I are going on a long weekend to northern France tomorrow. I am taking the laptop and Jillian along. We plan a lot of hiking, but in case it isn't enough I will be walking the plank. I will do my best to check in, but it will depend in internet access. We will be back late Sunday evening.

Have fun Brandy!!

I love Jackson, Kim! I loved scrapping his photos a few years back!

I have a big gardening project coming up. I'll have to remember the newspaper trick!

I'm done for today! I fit in before school this morning. I really need to get in the shower but I still haven't stopped sweating yet! I know sweat means I've worked hard, and I used to love it, but now it just feels yucky!
