My challenge this week is to be better on tracking over the weekend. I work from a home office, but I have a structured schedule so I'm on the computer more (tracking is easier) and can plan better. Weekends are very unstructured - last weekend in addition to dinner plans on Saturday, DH and I were invited to brunch at Bob Evans with my brother & his family. Two meals out on one day!
Joyce, GL on hitting that goal this week - if not this week, next!
Becky and Barbara, keep up the good work and Friday will be a good morning for you :-)
Sara,GJ - glad you're seeing results from your exercise and eating on program!
Here's to another "on program" week this week!

I'm trying to ride my stationary bike 5 minutes longer each day, which some days is easy and other days is a struggle really.
Congrats to everyone on their successes - I'm working on mine!

Sounds as if everyone is doing well! Congratulations to all. Joyce, Good Luck! I was so happy to read that you had inspired your DD to join! Wow, that must have made you feel good and is a good motivator to keep going.
I am down one lb this week. Slow and steady. Hope it continues. I have been eating fruit as my evening snack and finding that it is satisfying. It always takes me 21 days to get to the point where I am not craving sugar, so I think I am there now. Except for a small slice of strawberry pie at Perkins I haven't had sugar in a few weeks.
DH is supposed to get my bike down from the garage ceiling (where, interestingly, it does me no good) and get the tires filled and I hope to ride around the neighborhood a bit. If he doesn't do it soon (been asking and asking...) then I am going to buy the retro coaster bike I saw in Wal Mart for $89, and they assemble.
Glad to hear we are all still on plan! I need this!!

Dot, the bike sounds like a great idea! I love to ride - haven't been able to get Rich out riding yet so my stationary bike has been my buddy for the past few weeks. The trail on which we ride requires putting the bikes on the car and driving to it - and it's in a place where Rich won't let me go alone so have to wait for him to be ready to ride too. It's an awesome trail - it's flat, with a few small, rolling "hills" and is 2 miles long. I can't wait to get started with that.
And I can run/walk again, so have been doing that alot lately.
This week we are going "meatless" - just eating veggies - Rich's cholesterol went sky high and he had some other labs that weren't so great so I'm rearranging our diet right now. Got to get his cholesterol back down. Sigh - just when we thought we had it under control!
My Dad has been on a strictly meatless diet for a month now and he lost 18 pounds! He has willpower like nobody's business and he was so good about not eating any meat - or for that matter, any sugar! He is so happy about his weight loss.
Trying, trying, trying - we just keep hitting these little bumps in the road!

I'm glad y'all have been keeping things going...in your weight watching and on the board.
I think I have every possible excuse to give for not posting...and for not making it to the Wednesday meetings in quite some time.
But...that's what they are: excuses.
I've been at a stand still I guess since the last time I posted. Well, according to my booklet that they use at the site. I, luckily, haven't gained any of the weight that I got rid of, but I sure haven't lost any more.
I'm frustrated with myself for not sticking to the program. I need a big kick in the rear. Perhaps sulking my way back to this thread and posting will give me the nudge I need.
Congrats on the losses!

Um, I do believe that you are quite normal and we have all done exactly the same thing. And, you've kept off what you removed, which is really so great and a real achievement. It's the hardest thing to do, IMHO. So glad you sulked your way back- LOL- gave me a real chuckle! I can't count the number of times I sulked my way back to meetings. I have to say that the WW online is actually working better for me right now, but it's different for each person, for sure.
Go, Charlene!!

I know ONE thing for certain - the scale in the doctor's office is just wrong! I am sure their scale must be broken! It weighs 3 pounds more than my scale at home!
I only weigh a couple times a month but I weighed before I went to the doc the other day and then they weighed me (against my will) when I got there and aaaaarrrrrrrgggggggh!

Dr's scales alway weight heavier than ours at home. Do you think it's a conspiracy?

Yes.
I have a solution which works for me. I "decline" to step on the Dr. office scale. I rarely get an argument, and if I do I tell the nurse to write "refused" in my record. I am very friendy about it and tell them that I am on WW program and will be happy to tell them my weekly weight as recorded at WW. I tell them that it is just too discouraging to hear a different weight at the Dr. office. I am always honest and the number I give them is bad enough. LOL, works for me. As long as I am controlling my blood sugar, cholesterol and lipids and liver enzymes, it's good enough for my doctor.

I have never been more sure of anything - it is absolutely a conspiracy! LOL LOL
I'll have to remember your solution, Dot - I vow to never weigh again in the doc's office - it made me feel terrible about myself!
