Weight Watching Week Of June 26 how is everyone doing?

My weekend went pretty well. I did buy an inexpensive bike on Saturday, a retro bike, single speed with coaster brakes. I never liked hand brakes and when DH got my old bike down the brakes were not working. I rode the new bike each day since it came home, just short trips until I get in better shape, but oh, my, is it ever fun!! I felt like a kid again. I had forgotten how much fun bike riding used to be. I am hopeful that with a fun exercise I will be more motivated. I have a LO of the bike in the works for June Re-Junevenate.
The scale.....didn't move this week. I was a bit lax about recording and now it shows. Will I ever learn? My goal this week is to record and to get in all my water. I am placing eight glasses on the counter each day and putting one away each time I drink a glass until they are all in the cabinet. Two to go for today....off to finish up.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Here's a thought: Life is a sum of all your choices.

How fun that you bought a bike! It does make you feel like a kid again, I agree. I would ride mine more if there were just somewhere I could ride it without having to load it up on the car and drive to the "safe" place to bike ride, but there really isn't a good place to ride near my house. The street we live on has two fairly major roads near it and bike riding would be hazardous to me, the unexperienced so have to put the bikes on my Jeep and drive them to the bike trail. The bike trail is a great place to ride, but...(and I suppose it's cause of Rich's occupation) there are some people who frequent it from time to time that are a little questionable and Rich won't let me go there without him, so I kind of have to wait until he can go along too.
It's so good for the buns! Between that and riding my stationary bike maybe I'll have the buns of an 18 year old before this is all over with! hahaha! I doubt that, but at least maybe will help! That's where I feel the burn anyway.
I've been pretty good diet wise this week - no sugar at all, which is hard for me cause I love to bake for Rich and of course, I eat what I bake too! We've been really good this week eating lots and lots of veggies and I think we both feel better.
The water! Oh, I need to do that too! I like your idea of filling the glasses and leaving them on the counter so you can see them. That's a great way to ensure that you consume them before the day is over. I like my water really cold, so I might could put a pitcher of water in the frig and fill it with 8 glasses of water to help remind me to drink it. Right now, I drink diet ginger ale all day long and that really isn't good.

Anyway, I ordered a bacon-double-steakburger, small fries, and a Butterfinger shake. I wasn't going to record it, but thought - what the heck, it's water under the bridge (or food in my stomach) so there's no going back anyway. I used some of the weekly points, but stayed within program! I was ready to take my lumps, but it worked out in the end. We'll see how detrimental it was - if at all tomorrow.
Dot - I agree, Angie is very inspiring! I'm enjoying biking with my husband, also on Sunday we went on our furthest ride yet - a shade under 2 miles (1.98). Enjoy your bike, the fresh air, and the sights!

LOL Sara, I can only wish! Actually, I'd be happy with the buns of a 28-year old!

Joyce, keep trying and even if that last pound remains - you're still doing your body good by trying. Don't let the weekend derail you...WW is all about not giving up the food you love so you can stick with it!

Sometimes ya just gotta have it! (Perhaps that thinking is part of what got me here? Can't keep blaming pregnancy gain- LOL.) So glad you could fit it into the program! And, considering that it's a "once in awhile" splurge, sounds like it is something which can be fun!

Joyce, you are doing great! You're an inspiration! And, of course you had to have a piece of birthday cake! Grilled wings can't be too harmful, either.

Hang in there, Brenda - even if you're just maintaining until you can jump back in - you're still doing great!

Beyond that, it's my mom's first wedding anniversary alone after my dad's passing last year. We're kind of struggling through as that was an event we all enjoyed celebrating (with food), but obviously it will be different with him gone. We've talked about going to one of his favorite restaurants (Miyako Japanese Steakhouse), but she's really not sure what she wants to do.
We do have plans to take bike rides, so that's good!
Have a great (on program) weekend!

Joyce, I think we have to "cheat" every once in awhile - can you imagine everyone else eating those yummy wings and having your special cake while you chomp on a carrot stick? LOL Life is for living and as long as we watch ourselves most days, I think it's okay to give in to our tastebuds once in awhile.
I do feel so much better deleting sugar from my daily routine - I had no idea how much it would change the way I feel - so continuing on with that for awhile! Ack! Sweet tea without sugar just isn't the same though - but I can do it!

Drinking tea w/o sugar is normal for me. My downfall is coke classic. I just have to have one or two a week, but I try not to have them any more than that.

Well, I do drink diet Ginger Ale all the time but I understand that even that isn't really a good thing to do, and if I go out I always have a diet Coke - then there's the problem they "say" is not good for us with "artificial sweeteners" - Can't win, huh? But, at least it isn't sugar and I've been very good about the no sugar thing this week.
Trying not to bake at all - I love to bake for Rich though and that's been hard for me not to do - he doesn't need it either though so he agreed that we could go without home baked goodies for a few weeks just to see what happens -
I can't believe how much better I feel without the sugar!
