OK ladies....better have all the July 4th BBQ you want because on Tuesday July 5th Angie & I will be hosting the 2nd Shred Round.

The rules:
  • You must exercise each day of the 30 challenge (6 Days per week- we are taking Sunday off this round) for at least 20 minutes. Angie and I are following The original Biggest Loser DVD, but feel free to use any you have on hand; Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Chalean or you can do any exercise you like, DVD, walk, bike ride, swim or gym.
  • You must check in to the check in thread each day to get checked off and your progress charted.
  • If you miss a day you can make it up on Sunday, you just have to let me know you did it so I can make sure your chart is correct.
  • Feel free to moan and groan..we all do..LOL


If you want to join in please respond to this thread by Monday so I can get the chart made.

PS..it is a good idea to weigh and measure yourself before you start so you can see your own progress. There is no need to share this with the group, it's just for your own benefit. It is always encouraging to see progress.

I'll give it a go again. Jillian is too much for me, but I will keep with my M,W,F 60 min water aerobic and I do have other dvd's .... I'll get a plan pulled together before Tuesday.

I am game! It will give me incentive to get back to my rigorous schedule. I have been lagging with only three or four days a week for a few weeks. Hopefully this will help me towards losing the last twenty!!

I'm in...I'm starting to feel like I'm back on track after all the family stuff before the shred started in May.

My main exercise will be walking daily, at least 30 minutes. I started walking this week any way...so this is all good! (just can't do those videos w/o it killing my back...maybe some day!)

Does a 20 minute brisk walk count? If so I'm in! I know I won't do a video exercise but walking I can do. We are sandwiched between two beautiful parks, either of which offer plenty of scenery for a nice walk. I think doing it with you all would keep me accountable.

I was just wondering if you have ever tried Pilates? My sister swears by it. It was created originally for people who had injuries. So it may be something that works for you because of your back....

I have tried pilates, but it was quite a while ago, and wasn't very successful...lol (before the injections and etc.) I am going to add some yoga this month, and then maybe can try it again. I really struggle because I have no core strength. Thank you for the suggestion!! :D

I would like to give this a shot again, if no one minds. I attempted the fitness club before, but I ended up messing up my lower back soon after and that put me out of commission for awhile.

I just (re)started the treadmill, so I would like to do that for sure. I would also like to supplement it with an exercise DVD--not sure which yet, will have to think on that. I have several DVD's and I probably have 35 in my Netflix queue. The only problem is I live in an upstairs apartment, so I don't think the downstairs neighbors would appreciate me doing jumping jack's on their ceiling. :D

I just lost a couple pounds by changing some of my eating habits, so I am really psyched about this!
