Good for you Conda!! I'm taking today and tomorrow off. Today is clean the house day. So even though I'm not exercising, I'm still working!

I'm glad it's not just me. I knew changes were happening when I didn't want regular soda anymore! I was a Mountain Dew addict! Now, I drink diet soda once in awhile when I'm out mostly, but my drink of choice is sugar free Kool Aid. I really hope these changes that are occuring without much thought on my part stick!

I miss taking dance classes, Becca. I can't find any good adult ones in my area :(

I think it's a small town perk, Tiza. The fact that the dance studio we go to has these classes for adults like me... ones with zero dance experience and learning from the basics up... is very rare, or so I've heard. I'm so grateful for them! And I'm going to be heartbroken if I have to give it up when DH goes back to work. These classes are in the evenings, and my hubby's new job will have him working crazy hours at all times of the day and night. Chances are good that I won't be able to take them anymore. But a couple other women in the class are pushing for a morning adult class, so we'll see what happens.

I'm sure the community colleges would have some. And I know some of the dance studios do offer adult classes. But it's not convenient for me, since I take public transportation everywhere and don't have a car.

I think you are on to something Carla. I think those changes that "just happen" will stick. I have noticed a few changes too. :) Baby steps will get us there. I just try to make each decision better than it would have been before. Maybe it's not the BESTEST decision, but it is BETTER than before!!

I have noticed some "palette" changes too! I've been drinking mainly water-and lots of it. When I had a diet coke today, it tasted very fake to me, and the aftertaste was really strong. I also tasted a potato chip the other day and it was gross-it was even a reduced fat ruffles chip. I went straight back to the veggies!

Brandy and Angie, thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful goodies!

I got back in town late Friday night. I got some much needed rest at my aunt's. Yesterday I did an hour in the garden, and today I did 2 hours.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful encouragement and helping keep us honest!
The scale hasn't changed, but I'm really seeing a difference in how I look!
:)

We're back in civilization from camping, although William (2.5) and I still have a 4.5 hour drive today to get home. No exercise on travel day (Friday). Saturday we paddled hard in the canoe for about 30 minutes, twice, in between a picnic on an island in Fall Lake (near Ely, MN). And yesterday William and I stopped at Split Rock and the lighthouse near Duluth and hiked all over...up in the lighthouse and down the 150 or so wooden stairs down to Lake Superior and back up. And guess who I did NOT have to carry?! The little guy walked the entire way!

I better get moving or I'm not going to have time to exercise today, eep! Can't miss the first day! I'll be jogging in place in my living room at 11:30pm if I need to;)
